HP Spectre x360 - Yosemite

--Update--

I am struggling to get the Audio working on this device. Apple HDA patching didn't worked on first attempt. Not many people are trying to Hackintosh this device it seems. Keeping this hold on at the moment. I will try to do the Apple HDA patching again and see if I did something wrong the first time.

The audio setup is very strange on this device and even the Ubuntu Audio won't work OOB. Had to follow a workaround to get it working. The codec is Realtek ALC 3242 (ALC 286) as per the Ubuntu Codec Dump. Attached the Codec Dumps from Ubuntu and the native ACPI tables if any one interested to take a look.

Successfully installed Yosemite 10.10.3 on HP Spectre x360 and updated to 10.10.4.

Specifications:
CPU: Intel Core i7 5500U @2.40GHz (Broadwell)
RAM: 8 GB (2 x 4 GB 1600MHz DDR3)
HDD: 256 GB SSD
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5500
Audio: Intel SMART Sound Technology & Realtek HW Audio Codec (ALC 3242)
Wi-Fi: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265
Bluetooth: Intel Wireless Bluetooth
Trackpad: Synaptics SMBus TouchPad
Keyboard: Backlit Keyboard
Display: Quad HD Tocuh Screen (2560 x 1440)
Card Reader: Realtek RTS5227 PCI-E Card Reader
Camera: HP Truevision Full HD
External Display Ports: HDMI & Mini Display Ports
BIOS: Aptio UEFI

Working:
Shutdown & Restart
Sleep & Wakeup
Keyboard including Backlit toggle & Trackpad (3 Finger Gestures not working)
All 3 USB Ports
Graphics (QE / CI) fully functional (Font seems too small in QHD, had to set a lower resolution)
Clover Boot Loader
HDMI Output (Video Only)
Bluetooth
Camera
Touchscreen

Might never work:
Wi-Fi

Other components are yet to be configured / tested.

Glitches / Bugs observed so far:

Processor is detected as "2.39 GHz Intel Core i5" in 'About This Mac'. Actual CPU is i7 as listed above.
-- Fixed: After injecting CPU type 0x0704 through Clover, CPU detected as i7--

Sleep & Wake works only one time after every startup. Subsequent attempts to sleep hangs with display turned off. Had to force reboot or it automatically reboots after 5 minutes approximately.
--Fixed: Sleep & Wakeup Working after generating SSDT--

Touchscreen not working upon waking from sleep. Starts working once the lid is closed and opened after waking up.

Hi!
Very interested in this thread.
I'm also an owner of a Spectre x360 (i5-5200u model with fullhd display).
I managed to install 10.10.3 with clover, thanks to the guides of RehabMan found here http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/160914-hp-spectre-x360.html

Anyway a focused guide on installing osx on our laptop would be much appreciated.:p
In fact, with my installation I don't have working sleep-wake...
Also, I had problem on upgrading to 10.10.4 (didn't boot anymore). How did you manage that?
Intel wifi will never work, probably... not that bad, waiting for cheap usb wifi

Still, missing screen backlight control (biggest miss for me)... missing audio... AFAIK both can be fixed starting from modifying DSDT, so I followed some guides, extracted DSDT, but I'm not capable of compliling it without errors. I'll continue trying...

Attaching DSDT here... Any help would be appreciated :)

Hi!

Our hardware might have some differences I am afraid. Compare the specs I posted in OP.

I will try to make one by some time next week.

In fact, with my installation I don't have working sleep-wake...
I have it working OOB. Didn't had to mod anything. However, internal Keyboard and Trackpad, doesn't work after wake until I reboot.

Also, I had problem on upgrading to 10.10.4 (didn't boot anymore). How did you manage that?
The upgrade went smoothly for me. In fact, my graphics started working only after upgrading to 10.10.4. Take a look at my Clover folder attached in previous post and see if it makes any difference.

Agreed. I am using ProLink WN2001 Wireless Nano USB Adapter.

I haven't done any extreme modding yet on this device except for the DVMT change to 96 MB for the graphics to work. Everything I mentioned working are working OOB. Using the correct clover configuration matters a lot. Follow RehabMan's Clover guide without any deviations, Use the correct SMBIOS and take a look at my clover folder.

In fact, with my installation I don't have working sleep-wake...
Spoke too early. Sleep works only for first time. After waking up, if I hit the Sleep one more time, it hangs with display turned off. Had to force reboot or it reboots automatically after 5 minutes approximately. Tried multiple times and same behavior. The Keyboard and trackpad are working fine after the first wake. So far, only once they didn't worked out of my more than 5 attempts.

You should implement power management before looking at any cosmetic issues...
Looks like Power management is working OOB. Am I right to say so by referring the attached Intel Power Gadget's Output? Is there anything else that should be done?? FYI, I have extracted my DSDT using AIDA64 in windows and generated SSDT using "Broadwell SSDT Generator". Placed both the files in Clover folder without applying any patches. It seems that there is no difference with or without these files in Intel Power Gadget's output.

Any suggestions to fix the Sleep behaviour I posted in my previous post.

Between, I managed to fix the Wrong CPU Model by injecting "0x0704" as cpu type in Clover. Did I do it right?? are there any side effects caused by this?
