I see FakeSMC was update a few days ago.

I had it installed in my EFI folder in kexts.

Now I see that in the last version the FakeSMC plugins are separated. So now I should have all the 5 kexts in EFI kexts ?

All kexts should be installed to /S/L/E. I separated the PlugIns (removed from FakeSMC.kext/Contents/PlugIns) to make them easier to pick which ones you want, if any.

FakeSMC.kext is considered an "essential" kext and should be installed to EFI/Clover/kexts and /S/L/E. Clover kext injection should be used only when needed (installer, recovery). config.plist/SystemParameters/InjectKexts=Detect.

Well right now in my EFI folder I have FakeSMC + Plugins, PS2 kext and Realtek kext. Are you saying I should move them to /S/L/E after the initial installation ?

Not 'move'... but 'duplicate' yes.

Essential kexts such as those you need to boot and operate the recovery partition and installer should go in EFI/Clover/kexts. Essential would include FakeSMC, VoodooPS2Controller, and perhaps a networking kext.

All kexts should be installed to /S/L/E, including the essential ones (yes, there are duplicates). Then config.plist/SystemParameters/InjectKexts=Detect.

Clover will inject when necessary (FakeSMC not found in the boot target).

I dont use the EFI partition on my HDD for debug so can I just delete them from there ?

I use a usb stick with clover for recovery and other things like that.

Having them there is useful for doing major release updates (eg. eventually 10.10.x -> 10.11.0) as it involves booting the installer placed on your HDD.

Im getting random reboots at startup, is there any way i can update FakeSMC with Clover Legacy? EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.11 folder is empty, cant find it also in User/S/L/E
