I was faced with a very specific problem. My system (Yosemite, Asus P8Z68-V Pro, i5-2500K overclocked to 4,3Ghz, MSI GTX580) works great except one thing..
When I set system definition MacPro 3,1 I have an error in console:
Multiplier stucks at x16 and my CPU works at 1.6Ghz before computer goes to sleep. After waking up stepping works fine up to 4,3Ghz.
I found a solution to resolve problem with stepping by setting up system definition to iMac 13,2.
Using iMac13,2 instead of MacPro3,1 solve the problem with stepping. But something strange is going on with my sound when I use configuration different from MacPro3,1. Sound randomly interrupts and hiccups. Sometimes once every half hour, and sometimes several times per song. It is very annoying and drives me crazy, especially at high volume.
Any suggestions?
