Hi,

I managed to create the clover install usb stick with yosemite, but when I try the install process, I can boot on the stick but on boot manager menu I can't see the EFI usb stick, I only see the DVD writer/reader, and my hard drives.

What can I do ?

Thanks

Ensure that boot mode set to UEFI. Disable CSM.

Thank you. You mean on BIOS ?

Here is what I have if I plug the usb stick on the front USB 3 socket (MB is GB X79s-UP5 wifi), I can't find my usb stick on boot menu if plugged on rear USB3 socket :

usb3.jpg

Then if I plug the stick on front usb2 socket I have this :

usb2_1.jpg

And then this when I hit the choice to install from the stick :

usb2_2.jpg

And then this after 1 or 2 minutes :
usb2_3.jpg

And is remains stucked on this last screen...

I have a radeon 7950 Sapphire as video card.

If I setup the boot to UEFI only, I can see my USB Stick on the drive list boot option on the bios but I don't see it in the device list on boot when I hit the hotkey F12 on boot...

Maybe I did wrong on the creation of the yosemite USB install stick.

My network devices are : Intel 82579LM Gigabyte and a Realtek PCIe Family controler (both on the MB)

What files do I have to copy on the yosemite install stick regarding my network and HD7950 radeon video Card ?

Yes. If the clover usb created in UEFI mode then set the boot mode as UEFI/CSM Disabled on BIOS.

Always use USB2.0 port for installation.

Remove all the HDDs/SSDs, other than where you want to install the OS X.

Boot in verbose mode and post a clear photo of the frozen screen. For verbose mode booting, press space bar on the clover screen.

I think, now the issue not with graphics. Let's see what is blocking your booting in verbose mode.

The boot need to be set as per how you created the bootable USB.

If the bootable USB created in UEFI mode then set UEFI on BIOS, otherwise use UEFI+Legacy/CSM Enabled mode.

Network is not mandatory for installation. Only the FakeSMC.kext is enough for installation.

I'm a bit lost ! I installed many Linux OS on my previous PC with no problem... There is something I don't understand in the USB stick creation : why choose GUID partition Table on the partition creation and not MBR as said in the unibeast/multibeast install ? If I use GUID partiton table it says there is no bootable OS on boot...

In the mean time I tried a multibeast/unibeast install and here is where it got stucked :

unibeast.jpg

I try a new clover install and will post the screen shot where it gets stucked.

OS X requires GUID Partition Table, cannot be installed on MBR.

For making Unibeast USB you can use MBR Partition Table.

If I use GUID partiton table it says there is no bootable OS on boot...

Have you completed the installation or now trying to install the OS X??

Now you are using clover usb or UniBeast USB??

Which motherboard you have??

Try to boot with "dart=0 npci=0x2000 -v" or "dart=0 npci=0x3000 -v"

No I just tried unibeast in the mean time. I'm back on clover, preparing the usb stick
