Hi Guys,

I've been busy with building my hackintosh work station lately. Been reading a lot on this forum and it's been a great help so far. But I'm stuck at unibeast now..

I just build the computer with the following configuration:

- Intel i7 5930k
- GTX 980
- 32 gigs of crucial ballistix ddr4 ram
- Plextor m6e 256 GB m.2
- Gigabyte x99-UD5 (latest BIOS version F8)
- 2 x HGST deskstar 3TB for raid 0
- Dell UP3214Q
- Cooler master 240m liquid cooler
- Cooler master g750m psu
- Fractal design R5

Whenever I try to install Yosemite I can't get past the loading screen. Tried several boot flags but none of them helps me getting past the last line in verbose.
It says: "0, 0 AppleintelI210 : : setLinkStatus - not active"

I have no idea how to fix this, searched the web for hours but couldn't find a solution. Though I did find something about the "AppleIntelI210" meaning. It has something to do with Ethernet right?

I attached a picture of the last lines in verbose mode.

Thanks for helping me out!

Update;

I managed to install os x 10.10.2 with unibeast. After some further research I found that it was indeed the ethernet controller on the gigabyte x99-ud5 which was conflicting. I turned off both controllers in the UEFI and suddenly the installers continued. Hopefully I can get the working again somehow.

I used clover boot loader btw.

Now the next issue.

I managed to install nvidia web drivers and cuda driver with flag: 'nv_disable=1'. But I can only use it while booting with '-x'. If I don't use the safe mode flag it just reboots. It gives me UHD output on my DELL UP3214Q, but only with 30hz. Also it feels very slow and buggy. Login in with the user account takes quite a while and there are all kinds of strange artefacts, hiccups and laggy animations.
When I check os x preferences/nvidia driver manager it says; "Unable to open the NVIDIA Driver Manager".

Any suggestions?

If you are booting in safe mode (-x) then the OS X will load limited kexts. It will not load any graphics drivers/kexts in safe mode.

Try booting in normal mode.

Thanks for replying!

I booted with bootloader without the safe mode flag. Runs a lot more stable but still only at 30hz. Also, every time I check the Nvidia Driver Manager, the "OS X Default Graphics driver" is selected instead of "Nvidia Web Driver". Whenever I switch this the right way and do the necessary reboot it returns to the wrong setting again.

Btw, I tried to install a new version of the web driver (f03 and f04). But these installers give me a pop-up saying that I'm not running 10.10.2, while actually I do run this os x version.

Do I have to change some settings in Clover Configurator?

Post your config.plist

Share the output of the below command after running it on terminal,

Code:
cat /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist

Thanks Jithin!! :)

And the config.plist

Besides the graphics and the lack of wifi/ethernet, everything is running very smooth!! Love it!

<key>ProductBuildVersion</key>
<string>14C109</string>

Here is the correct version for your running OS X version : http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/343.02.02f01/WebDriver-343.02.02f01.pkg

And the config.plist

Try with attached config.plist

I am not sure on onboard wifi.

For LAN: Use DPCIManager (Under PCI List) to find out the ethernet adapter model then install proper kext/driver for that model.

I replaced the config.plist with the one you posted. I also uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it with the version you suggested. Unfortunately it makes no difference.

Anything else to try?

Really appreciate your help!
