Hi everyone,

I've always been building my PCs myself and all that but I'm new to Hackintosh.

My PC is a i5-2500K on a ASUS P8P67 LE Mainboard (latest BIOS) with 4*8GB DDR1333 (Kingston Value) and a MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti. I bought a Samsung 830 SSD for tinkering around with OS X and am disconnecting all the other drives meanwhile.

I tried installing my Hackintosh with tonymacs Guide for Unibeast and Multibeast. It worked well. I got it booting from SSD with USB 3.0 Support and all that. Didn't check if sleep etc worked for now.

But as I also want iMessage etc. to work and I read everywhere that I SHOULD use Clover instead of Chimera for that I tried out the tutorial for Clover from tonymac.

I created a USB drive (16GB USB 3.0 but I plugged it into a 2.0 port) with my rMBP13, bootet the PC with it, which worked, chose "Install Yosemite", which it did but then the guide says I should boot the installation from the USB drive AGAIN.
I encouter two problems here:
1. I don't even see anything else in Clover than "Install Yosemite" (which I don't know if it's normal at that stage?) but most importantly:
2. If I choose "Install Yosemite" again it does the SAME thing as in the first part... The guide says "The system will boot into the new drive, create the recovery partition, and complete the installation. Upon completion, system will restart a 2nd time." but it's like a vicious circle, nothing ever changes. Theres no "2nd part of the installation" or something like that.

What could be wrong here?

Thanks and greetz from Germany,

Clover installation works the same as a clean install on a "real" Mac, in 2 stages.

Boot the Clover install USB first time and select the Install Yosemite icon. It will install the first stage and takes about 12-15 minutes depending on your hardware. It then wants to reboot, so boot with the USB again - this time you should see only one icon - just hit enter and install the second stage.

At least, that is how it worked for me.

Hey Going Bald,

thanks for the reply!

My problem is that this second stage never happens.
It's just doing the first part again.
Has anyone ever had this issue?

Not that I know of.
IIRC, P8P67 is not UEFI BIOS, yes? Can it be flashed to new BIOS with UEFI support? This might be cause of problem.
Might be possible Clover can help if you can upgrade the BIOS but don't know if it will do you any good if you can't. Only way to find out is try.
Something to try - you say you successfully installed with UniBeast+MultiBeast method. Do it again and get it working as well as you had it before. Then create a Clover boot USB - see http://www.tonymacx86.com/alternate-bootloaders/127134-test-drive-how-create-clover-usb.html
For starters, use show all files and find the file called boot in the system root. Archive it and move the boot file to trash, then empty trash. If Clover doesn't work, then unarchive the boot file back to system root.
Boot with the Clover USB and try to get iM, etc. working. If you can, then install Clover to the SSD/HDD.
