Can't reach Yosemite installer

Hi there, I'm trying to update to Yosemite from Mavericks. But after following the instructions and selecting USB at boot up, the installer loading bar only ever reaches half way and then gets stuck. I have waited 12 hours.

I have tried with boot flags -x -v -f separately and in combinations

In verbose mode, the line it gets stuck at reads:
AMFI: Error! There is a null code directory pointer. This is an unexpected condition.

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes I followed that guide.

I managed to fix this simply by using a different USB stick. A clean install was needed though, but Yosemite is now up and running!

Hi everyone , i have the same problem ("AMFI :Error ! There is a null code directory pointer. this is an unexpected error" )when trying to install Yosemite with unibeast . does any one as an idea to solve this ?
