CPU: i7 4790K
Motherboard: ASUS Z97 pro wifi ac
Memory: Kingston 16 GB Savage 1866 MHz
GPU: Gigabyte windforce gtx 970 g1
SSD: Two Samsung Pro 500 GB
HDD: One WD 2TB Black
Yosemite installed by using latest Unibeast & Multibeast
Bootloader: Chimera
My GPU is connected to a Dell 2715H 1440p Monitor by a dvi to hdmi cable.
I managed to successfully install Yosemite 10.10.0 to my system, with only minor problems. ie for some strange reason the mouse tracking speed is at it's lowest possible value after every restart so every time I am forced to make manual adjustments. However, my main problem is that after upgrading to yosemite 10.10.1 or 10.10.2 my monitor gives a timing error and asks me to adjust my system to 2560X1440 60 Hz. I can boot my system only when i use nv_disable=1 and everything I tried, from what I read on this forum, fails. My last resort is that maybe if I use a hdmi to hdmi, or dp to dp cable will solve the problem. I think I can't do a wrong driver choice, because only compatible nvidia drivers can be installed directly to the proper yosemite version.
So now I am stuck at 10.10.0. Any suggestions?
