AMD HD R9 280 3GB (dev id 0x679A1002) showing only 7MB VRAM

HI

I installed the latest 10.10.2 with Clover, everything works on first boot, except my graphics card, I moved relevant kexts to Clover kext folder the card is recognized with the correct ID, the resolution sets to the correct 1920x1080 but VRAM is recognized as 7mb rather than 3gb, and graphics are choppy.

I was under the impression that this card was supported OOB since Mavericks. Is that correct?

As per my understanding R9 280 and 280x will natively support on OS X. Is the CLOVER's ATI Graphics Injection is Disabled or Not ??

Also update your build's hardware details in your profile in the below format,

What is happening if you are booting without ATI injection and EDID Injection.

Try booting with the PatchVBios Enabled.

I do not have an option to PatchVBios, I only have an option to LoadVBios, and that doesnt fix the issue, still recognized as 7MB

LoadVBios option is using when you have video bios file present in the directory EFI/CLOVER/OEM/[model]/ROM or EFI/CLOVER/ROM.

You have to try PatchVBios.

Just checked the dev id. It is available in the kext. So it need to support your card without any injection.

So disable all the CLOVER's graphics injections and rebuild cache. Then reboot and check.
