[SOLVED - use Clover] System instability - frequent freezes
Occasional system freeze has been an infrequent intermittent problem since I originally built the system in summer last year. Manifests as unpredictable freeze requiring hard restart. Nothing in any logs to provide clues as to the problem. I was running Mavericks.
Two days ago I installed Yosemite 10.10.2 on another SSD and have been trying to run it. The system now freezes several times a day.
I believed the problem was related to memory since the sticks, since this is often mentioned here as a cause of freezes. The sticks I had (Config 1 below) were not on Gigabytes list of verified modules for the motherboard. So today I replaced the memory sticks with 4 new ones that are on the list as verified in configuration of 4. It got no better. Two freezes within a couple of hours.
The other thing everyone says about system freezes is PSU. It is a Corsair CX430 which claims "Haswell compatibility".
So I'm totally stuck now. My computer is useless and I can't get any work done. I really need help and would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Installation was according to the current "Installation Guide", which I followed to the letter. BIOS settings are pretty much as described in that guide and MultiBeast selections were standard for this hardware.
Anything else I may need to mention, please ask.
