Hi,

So I've been going through the guide to install Yosemite, and everything went great up until the point of booting from the usb drive. Even before the menu to choose between Windows (which is still installed) and OSX Yosemite I get about 4 errors - all the same. Then the menu comes up where I can choose to launch the OSX installer.

Even though I get those errors, it seems to get passed that and go into the installation.
However, next up the loading screen appears, with the grey apple logo, and it takes about 30 minutes for the loading bar to fill up to 50%, and then it's stuck. Clearly not normal behaviour :)
So I've tried some of the flags that are mentioned in the guide, but none of them seem to make any difference (except for the Graphics one, which leads to a memory error and not even getting to the grey apple logo).

Does anyone have any idea of where to start looking for problems?
Before installing I set all my BIOS settings to optimized defaults, but maybe something needs to be set differently? There are so many options that I'm really not sure what I should try.

Boot with flag "-v -f" and post a clear image of the frozen screen.

I hope this is clear enough. Camera had a bit of trouble focusing on the white-black.

Is the bootable USB connected to USB3.0 port?

Try booting with flags "dart=0 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes -v" or "dart=0 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -v"

With the GraphicsEnabler I get an unrecoverable error.
With the second option it seems to be stuck at the same point:

I've had the USB in both USB2.0 as well as 3.0 ports.
Does it matter which one I take?

Try with USB2.0 Port.

[SUB]Same result.. :(

Since you seem to be focusing on the USB here, could the problem also simply be in the USB stick? It's a 32GB one. Maybe I should try an older one, like a 4GB or something? Or 8?

Try booting only with flag "USBBusFix=Yes -v" & try to use USB 2.0 Port also you can try another USB.

The USBBusFix did not work unfortunately.
I don't have another USB handy at this moment. I thought I did but I don't.... So I'll see if I can figure something out and I will get back soon after that.

Try booting with your onboard graphics port and check whether is there any difference in installation process or not.
