Hi all, I'm facing a graphics issue with Yosemite 10.10.1 on this config:
GA-Z87-HD3i75-4770kHD 4600

When two windows are overlapping, the window on the back can redraw even in the region of the window that is on top. The result is a lot of flickering in the top window. Ugly..
I did not have this with Mavericks.
I installed with Unibeast/Multibeast, using the default options.
It does not occur systematically, only from time to time.

Any clue?

Thanks in advance

Hi.

i have the same issue. I tried:

IGplatformID=0d220003 and IGplatformID=0c200000 but no succes.

did you find a fix?

after I set my bios back to optimal settings and changed the (hands of & smart to auto) resolved the issue, also added the following to org.chameleon.Boot.plist

<key>SkipNvidiaGfx</key> <string>Yes</string>

Hope this helps you.

Good news!
What are these bios optimal settings that you are using?

I have similar issues after updating to Yosemite - screen's flickering when scrolling, graphic effects are very slow (e.g. on login screen when you select user, 'fan' effect on the Downloads, or scrollbars in System Information).

I've tried to add JAAPOP's suggestion to org.chameleon.Boot.plist, but without change.

MB us Gigabyte H87M-HD3, CPU i5 4460, no additional GFX card.

(Also my sound's gone after the update but that's another issue.)

What's strange is that problems with graphics started on Maverics - after long run without issues computer froze during system booting/loading (on the spinning wheel) and I was only able to boot with -x -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1 maxmem=4096 npci=0x2000 and still had issues with the graphics. I wasn't able to restore the system to running condition (reapplying Multibeast, different config), so I tried update to Yosemite using UniBeast (I wasn't able to update directly from OS, because OS wouldn't boot after initial Yosemite install and -x seems to interrupt the installation). I was able to update to Yosemite, but still was able to boot only with mentioned switches. I fixed that with deleting content of /Extra and /S/L/E, copying it's content from my UniBeast USB, re-applying MultiBeast, fix perms, reboot.
Issue with graphics remains though :(

Update1:
Adding IGPlatformID from JAAPOP's post http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/146511-intel-hd4600-board-flickering-ga-h87m-hd3.html#post953223 makes the flickering even worse :(.
Update2: Setting XHCI and EHCI Hand-off as suggested in the same post resulted for me even worse - OSX load froze at the very beginning of the progress bar :(.
Update3: Based on various threads I've found, I've tried multiple options and combinations of Boot.plist content, including listing specific IGPlatformID and and IGPDeviceID (see http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...0-graphics-recognized-but-no-kext-loaded.html), specifying GraphicsMode, skipping AMD and Nvidia GFX). I have also update Chameleon to build 2538. Any of these actions resulted even in worse quality of graphics - either low resolution, or more flickering, or very poor performance (even mouse cursor being slow). I got back to GraphicsEnabler and IntelAzul FB, so my Boot.plist looks like this:
Code:
        <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>HDAEnabler</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>HDEFLayoutID</key>
    <string>01000000</string>
    <key>IntelAzulFB</key>
    <string>12</string>
    <key>Kernel Flags</key>
    <string>kext-dev-mode=1</string>
    <key>Legacy Logo</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>Timeout</key>
    <string>2</string>
    <key>UseKernelCache</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
In any other case the IGFX wasn't either recognised at all, or System Information said 'No kext loaded', and/or assigned memory was low (6MB and such). Now the IGFX seems to be recognised correctly, but the flickering on graphic effects remains and GFX performance is poor.

Anyone any hints, please!
