OK so I have made an installer using Unibeast and downloaded a fresh copy of the yosemite installer.app as advised by various people who say it could be corrupt etc...

I run the installer and without flags on my system, running it causes a KP...something about deadbeef...

Beyond that, I can start the installer using the flags GraphicsEnabler=Yes -f -x maxmem=4096 (I assume that it will work with a smaller combination of these.)

I get so far and the installer quits on me with the error "OS X could not be installed on your computer. An error occurred while extracting files from the package "Essentials.pkg". Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again."

I read a post saying try -no-zp but this dont work. I have tried all the usual boot flags to no avail.

Please if anyone can help to get past this, I would be very grateful.

View all? you mean verbose? (-v)??

It fails during install....

Very persistent so far nothings worked. Cant get Yos install to complete.

I had the same problem. Try flags like -v -no-zp or -x -no-zp GraphicsEnabler=Yes.

It works for me after two days working

Good Luck

tried em all. no success...

Yeah I have the same problem. Even I tried all those flags in different combinations.
it still Doesnt work. It's a very frustrating problem.

Try this combination that works for me:
-v -x maxmem=4096 npci=0x2000 PCIRootUID=1

Good luck.

Lieder1987, i tried that combination of boot flags, but unfortunately no luck. You guys know any other methods to fix this problem?

A recent post said that this problem may be caused by having other drives connected besides the one used for the installation.

Good Luck
