Hello,

I would like to get iMessage to work for Yosemite but the NVRAM module that I have tried for Chameleon/Chimera doesn't appear to work (I think it's for Mavericks and that could be the reason why?). Is there a NVRAM file that I can place in my /Extra/Modules dir that will work for Yosemite?

Thank you.

I lost iMessage support a few weeks ago and haven't been able to get it working since. I then got the dreaded "Call us" message when trying to get it working.

I am hoping that iMessage will work on 10.10 and be stable, so I am curious to know this answer as well.

I wanted to include that I have already have a credit card added so it isn't a simple fix by any means. I think we require the NVRAM file so I'm hoping someone can provide one.

i lost iMessage on my mavericks hacks the instant i activated my iPhone 6. i tried all the tricks that used to work to get iMessage back, all to no avail. the bad news that moving to Yosemite doesn't restore iMessage, either. i have the public beta running on 3 hacks. no iMessage on any of my hacks--neither mavericks nor yosemite.

If it says call us you will have to write down the code and call them. Not on the phone number given there though. Just go to the apple support site and look for iMessage troubleshooting and call the iMessage team direct as they will have a number there. They will activate it for you, no questions asked.

do you have a real mac?

He doesn't need a real Mac. Just call them, they won't ask you any details regarding your Mac. If you call the number in the error they will but not directly to the iMessage team

I think what tortib was asking is if the Nvram will be fixed for Yosemite. This did not work on the 10.10 betas with Chameleon. It would either not load at all or the computer would reboot while loading the nvram kext.

I'm also hoping this will be fixed.

My error doesn't say call them. It says:
Could not sign in to iMessage
"Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again."

I know the network connection is okay because I'm talking to you right now with the Ethernet adapter that's onboard. I have no WiFi installed on this machine just ethernet.

I have a MBP and the account works fine on that machine.

Some of the posts in this tread are kind of making me wonder more about something. I used both chameleon on 1 test build and then clover to work around some issues I had in another test build one the same hardware. In clover I was able to create (using the clover wizard and some random values supplied by their random buttons) a serial number. So I have the iMac 14.2 and matching serial number that was randomized. Also have the STB and Rom with Rom containing my ethernet mac address numbers. I thought I was good to go when iMessage logged in. But it logged out and gave me the customer code before I could send a test message. On selfsolve apple I saw my serial wasn't valid. Is that required for I message to work?? Invalid as in its not registered. Not that it's theasy wrong format. I'd like to know because otherwise my brand new build can go to Yosemite.
