Hey Gang,

First of all, thanks to TonyMac and all the wonderful users of this forum. The search button has proved indispensable, so thanks again for sharing all your knowledge.

My build consists of:
Gigabyte Z77X UD5H
Intel 3770K
Sandisk SSD (Mountain Lion)
WD Caviar Black HDD (Windows 7 and storage/2 partitions)
16GB Corsiar Vengeance Low Profile
Nvidia GTX 680

I've installed ML with no problems whatsoever and it is running like a dream. I'm onto installing windows on the WD HDD now and have run into a problem. I formatted the WD HDD in Disk Utility following TonyMac's guide here. I then downloaded Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit ISO from the Microsoft Website. I then used bootcamp to create a bootable USB drive (have tried 2 different kinds). I disconnect my SSD only leaving the HDD in and reboot from USB. If I F12 it, it shows both a UEFI USB option and the manufacturer's name option to boot from. I've tried both and am stuck at the black screen with the endless blinking cursor in the top left of the screen. Can't get past it, even to the installer.

Any ideas of where to go from here? I don't have a DVD drive installed (hence the need for the USB bootloader). Could it be the bootcamp created USB stick causing the problems?

Thanks in advance,
Turd

Don't use bootcamp. Use the Win7 USB Download Tool. See this article (and links): http://social.technet.microsoft.com...using-the-windows-7-usbdvd-download-tool.aspx
