CustomBeast is an all-in-one personalized post-installation solution. It is designed for users who want their system up and running quickly with minimal effort and maximum performance. With a simple click-through interface, CustomBeast will enable boot from hard drive, graphics, sound, network, and full configuration optimization through installation of the proper boot loader, DSDT and kexts.
PLEASE NOTE: HARD DRIVES LARGER THAN 1TB WILL NOT WORK FOR OS X SYSTEM DRIVE.

Lion 10.7 Retail Method (RECOMMENDED)
1. Purchase OS X Lion (Mac App or USB)
2. Create a bootable USB drive using UniBeast
3. Boot from the UniBeast created drive & Install OS X Lion
4. Using the UniBeast created drive boot the new installation
5. Run CustomBeast
6. (Optional- older CustomBeasts only) Run MultiBeast's Extensions Migration Tool option. (CustomBeasts delivered before 2012 use the /Extra/Extensions folder. The migration option will force the system to UseKernelCache and move all kexts to /System/Library/Extensions. This option is done by default on any CustomBeast delivered in 2012 .
7. Reboot
Future 10.7.x Lion Software Updates
You can re-run CustomBeast after any update before rebooting to be on the safe side. Otherwise, pay attention to the blog posts for anything out of the ordinary when updating.
Snow Leopard 10.6 Retail Method
CustomBeast is designed for an initial fresh installation, but can still work on an existing install. Delete /Extra folder before running CustomBeast.
1. Follow all Tips & Recommendations
2. Install using iBoot + Retail Snow Leopard DVD
3. Boot with iBoot
4. Set up Computer (if you have a Sandy Bridge System- use UpdateHelper before updating to 10.6.8)
5. Run Combo Update - DON’T REBOOT
6. Run CustomBeast
7. Reboot
For NVIDIA 4xx cards on Snow Leopard, you must also install the Official NVIDIA 4xx Drivers
Troubleshooting
If audio doesn't work, try installing AppleHDA Rollback from MultiBeast, then Reboot.
