Hi,

Hope you guys can help,

This is what I am using
Mini PCI to PCIx1 Converter

Apple?Atheros AR5008 AR5BXB72 300M 802.11ABGN wireless card

Everything work so far except i can't shutdown the computer now.
It will cold boot after the power LED went out for 3 sec.

I have been searching all over and can't seems to find the fix.

Please don't hesitate to give your thoughts even if it's a wild card.

I don't know what to do next.

or if you have the same mobo I have (GA-X58A-UD3R 2.0)
Working with this card please let me know too.

Thanks

I tried this method. I have it plugged in and working but it's working at minimal capacity. Internet is very slow. When I connect LAN, the difference is monstrous!

Same with Windows 7. Super bummed. I may be going the USB wireless route now.

With Wireless Card:

With LAN:

The difference is definitely noticeable.

EDIT:
Just received much better results. Not sure which of the following things fixed it, but I went to the device manager in Windows 7 and updated the software on it and it's blazing fast now. The mac side is working just as fast as well. When I did the test above, it was with Windows 7 (the OS I happened to be on at the time), so maybe it was just an issue with that. Mac and Windows 7 are both working fast now. :)

I purchased those two items - Thank you zionic!!

The Apple WIFI card turned up a couple of days ago - took roughly one week.

Still waiting on the PCI :)

Thanks again for the heads up zionic.

Sparty :)

Glad to help. It took me 2 weeks to get the PCI. Be patient.

I built one and put in my GA-P55A-UD3. At first I put it into the first PCI-E slot and it didn't work. I moved it to the third one and it was recognized immediately, and has been working flawlessly for about a week now.

Works great for me. Make sure you go into Windows 7 devices and update the driver. No issues here.
