Not Seeing DVD Drive

Just got this DVD drive from Newegg:

Sony Optiarc Black 2MB Cache SATA CD/DVD Burner LightScribe Support - OEM
Model:AD-7261S-0B

But for some reason OSX is not recognizing it. Got a dual boot and the Windows 7 side sees it fine. Running a GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard with an Intel Core i7 processor.

You have installed SL and it works, now adding a new drive?

Did you try different SATA ports?

Finally got around to cracking the case open and trying that. Yup, works fine now! Thanks for the "Duh, I shoulda thought about that in the first place" advice!!
