I took the same motherboard, but I win an auction in ebay for 70U$...

=D

I´m just waiting my pieces arrive...

Good job, I'm running that board currently.

Just don't do what I did and installed the monitor on the vga port, you need to use the dvi port, I haven't tried the hmdi port yet as I don't have a new screen until next month. Enjoy it tho! Overclocking was interesting ;)

That should work well. I suggest, however, buying a cheap case/PSU combo from newegg such as: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811119210 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811147082

The reason I say that is because power supplies, even from a few years ago, were setup incredibly different inside than they are manufactured now. Because of that, the new generation parts have been made to pull power with the new design in mind. If you load an older power supply, you risk burning it out and it taking a few of your parts with it.

PSU
i will keep this in mind. the old system was a core2quad. i really dont have the money for a new psu. maybe a month or so down the road ill buy one.

UPDATE!!!! so i got all my parts yesterday and wow i am amazed. my 2007 macbook 2.2ghz sr with 4gb of ram is what i compared it to.

macbook geekbench 3068
hackintosh geekbench 13678

video rendering
macbook using elgato turbo key 25 fps 3 min and 26 second video rendered in 9 min 43 seconds
hackintosh same video using elgato software 60 fps 3 min 54 seconds

i am so amazed how fast this computer is. i thought the most amusing thing was it took lion 15 or so min to install and it took me almost 2 hours to get windows installed on it because i couldnt get the my windows usb key booting so i had to find my dvd of it and got it that way.

either way thank you all for your help and im very happy with my hackintosh pro.
