Above of all, big thanks to Tony and other members in the forum. It's hard not to donate for your effort.

I wouldn't build a hackintosh if Apple has i5/i7 in 21' iMac. 27' is too big for me and I like to have the power to run aperture, imovie and handbrake. Luckily, I stumbled on to this site.

Here is my hardware list. The system is running 10.6.2 for last few days.

- i7 860
- GABYTE GA-P55M-UD4 F8
- G.SKILL 4GB DDR3 1600 (F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ)
- Sony Optiarc SATA Model AD-7240S-0B
- MSI N250GTS Twin Frozr 1G
- 2x 500G Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS
- Antec Three Hundred Black
- OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP 500W

With latest iboot CD and multibeast, it's almost as easy to install MacOS as to install Win7. :) Of course, it's always easy to look back. Couple of careless mistakes I made are:

- After you switch iBoot CD with SL installation CD, remember to press F5 to refresh before press enter. Otherwise, you get kernel panic.

- You need make sure AppleHDA in S/L/E directory and select Audio/LegacyHDA/889a in multibeast for audio to work. I somehow deleted AppleHDA in S/L/E by mistake and was very frustrated to see I have no output device for audio even system profile shows all 5.1 goodies listed.

Once again, thanks everyone for help.

Have you tried 10.6.3?
