Anyone using a Solid State drive with Snow Leopard and Sandy Bridge?
I am having lots of problems getting my system to recognize the drive on boot up.
apprently TRIM needs to be enabled for this apparently.

I did try to use the Trim Enabler utility, but it will not run on Snow Leopard.
I also tried the Terminal commands to set for TRIM, but the drive still does not have TRIM enabled.

How on earth do you get a non-Apple branded SSD to work on a hackintosh?!

format your ssd under Mac OS Extended (Journaled) , clone you hdd using ccc run chimera reboot in bios set you ssd first boot :)

hacman, I am sorry, can you be a little more clear?

I should format my SSD, clone using CCC (I get that)
But am I supposed to clone a successful install of 10.6.8 from a spinning HDD (not SSD)
When do I run Chimera, when booted from HDD (with SDD mounted, but not booted from?)

just a little unsure of the steps, I am new to this. thx.

run chimera to cloned ssd , in bios boot first shoud be ssd 2nd boot hdd save then reboot :)

worked great. thanks!

  edit the post solved

how do I do that? .. ain't no button..
