Hi all thanks for this great resource.

Here is my problem. Lion installed fine on my hack, but it changes my account/access to standard and asks for a password if I try to change anything. I did not set any password in Snow.

my set up.
Asus P7P55D Pro
core i5
8gig Ram
Intel X25 40gig ssd

Thanks in advance.

Check with Apple Support or your System Preferences>Security Settings.

So prior to lion, you would install programs with no password, just a blank field for password and press enter?

Correct. This has been going on all day. I have erased the disk and cloned my working system to it. I then created a new identity with admin privledges and a password it too was changed to a standard account.

My only other thought is to change the password on your original account from no password to a password prior to installing LION. :banghead:
