This is my first time to build a CustoMac. When I first saw this article (http://www.tonymacx86.com/bios-uefi/143167-msi-9-series-motherboards-os-x-setup-configuration.html), I was totally gonna buy myself a MSI Z97 GAMING 9 AC. I like their idea of I/O & Audio chipset protective shield (you can see the pic as below).

But I guess the Wifi module will cause some problems and onboard wifi is not that important to me, that’s why I ended up choosing MSI Z97 GAMING 7... It's a nice mobo as well though!

Though OS X 10.10 is released, I tried to install OS X 10.9 this time since I’ve made the Unibeast of Mavericks long time ago with my old macbook (2010) and rather not upgrade my old friend to Yosemite :p.

I completely followed the directions of the links below (& above :p), and have no issue on installation at all. I'm kind of surprised it went that well
UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC

So far I have at least the following functions working:

Ethernet
Sleep
USB 3.0
Audio
Bootable OS X from HDD

No iMessage…Still trying. Is there anyone using MSI motherboard as well?
Maybe can share with me how to fix iMessage issue...

UEFI Settings

1. Update the BIOS to latest version (V1.7)
2. To access UEFI Setup, press and hold Delete on a USB Keyboard while the system is booting up
3. Settings - Save & Exit - Restore Defaults.
4. Disable Intel VT-d
5. Disable CFG lock
6. Save and exit.

Installation

Like I said, I refer to this article for the whole installation process. For me I don't need to type any other command or else, but i guess it depends on what components you've got.
UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC
So here you can simply follow the direction of Step 4 to start the installation, especially be careful on the part I quoted below.

6. For a new installation of OS X, you MUST erase and format the destination drive according to the following steps before continuing. If you are upgrading from Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion and you want to keep your files and apps, skip steps a-j.

a. In the top menu bar choose Utilities, and open Disk Utility
b. Highlight your target hard drive for the Mavericks installation in left column.
c. Click Partition tab
d. Click Current and choose 1 Partition
e. Click Options...
f. Choose GUID Partition Method
g. Under Name: type Mavericks (You can rename it later)
h. Under Format: choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
i. Click Apply then Partition
j. Close Disk Utility

Post-Installation: MultiBeast Settings

Configure the settings as below, and restart the computer to complete the installation.

what does it show when you use verbose mode (-v)?
what is your hardware?
what flags did you use?

the op's post installation isnt the greatest tbh. no need for easybeast or a lot of what they selected

+1 samisnake!

MultiBeast Features document said:
EasyBeast is for Core 2, Core i or Xeon systems with no native CPU Power Management.
The i7 processor has native power management. Use DSDT-Free option to successfully get started.

Your video driver needs updated, to get past the progress bar, Use the bootflag "nv_disable=1" in unibeast load options. Hope this helps if you haven't already searched for the solution.

Any lucky with the same build on Mohave ?
I'm having troubles with the network driver
