I have a Lenovo Yoga 13 laptop with following specs

Core i5 Ivy Bridge
HD4000 Integrated Intel Graphics

I downloaded Unibeast 5.0.1 and gone through the process describe in Guides for 10.10 (Yosemite).
When I boot up from USB I get a apple logo and then it starts loading and then I get a black screen.

I tried all kinds of flags -x, -f, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, IGPEnabler=Yes/No, PCIRootUID=0/1. I tried with -v to see where it is hanging, but it is hard to see because it switches to black screen. Any help or pointers will be appreciated. Can anybody also point me in the direction as to how to apply the MBR patch since I am running windows 8.

Thanks

I think I have posted in the wrong forum, sorry. Can you move it to Laptops/Yosemite Laptop Support.

Thanks

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

I have updated my profile with hardware specs.

Thanks

Normally, you would use these flags for Chimera:
IGPlatformID=01660004 dart=0 -v

But IGPlatformID is broken in Chimera4 (along with some other flags), so you need to use Chameleon or Clover.

With Chameleon:
IntelCapriFB=4 GraphicsEnabler=Yes dart=0

Install Chameleon to the USB after creating it with Unibeast.

For using Clover, I suggest you read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-mavericks/112383-guide-install-mavericks-clover-bootloader.html. Filter appropriately as some information is HP ProBook specific (omit HPFanReset.efi, most of the stuff in the ProBook Installer, for example).

It seems like I was able to boot with the following flags and able to install Yosemite Thanks

IGPlatformID=01660004 dart=0

Most of the essential stuff working sound, trackpad, mouse and keyboard, intact I am using Yosemite to write this post. For internet I was able to find a package to do usb tether using Android (wifi not working). The major problem I am facing right now is my display, which is working except the vram (video ram) is showing as 3M. The system is able to detect HD4000 but the system is very sluggish. I am not able to play video in iTunes and other graphics intensive stuff. What should I do ?

Also, since Yoga 13 laptop does not come up with ethernet, I am not able to do anything in app store. Anybody has a solution for that ?

Thanks for the help

Yes, but IGPlatformID is broken, so it is actually disabling your graphics QE/CI at the moment instead enabling it!

I installed Chameleon and I tried with the following boot flag

IntelCapriFB=4 GraphicsEnabler=Yes dart=0

The system hung up with bunch of "couldn't execute:asertion failed".

I also tried without any boot flags, same result. Please advice

Thanks

What version of Chameleon? Post photo.

Also, use verbose boot: IntelCapriFB=4 GraphicsEnabler=Yes dart=0 -v

I am using

Chameleon r2380 OSX Yosemite

Attach is the photo where it is hanging
