Unibeast 1.7 is untrusted. OS X 10.6.8 via iBoot Ivy Bridge

Make sure you install the 10.6.8 Supplement update and change System Preferences -> Security & Privacy to allow MAS and identified or anywhere.

Installing the Supplement did not create that preference pane. There is still only "security."


EDIT: I later tried installing Apple Software Installer Update 1.0, after which Unibeast installed without further error.

I will reply again once I have successfully upgraded to Mountain Lion.

Did you get the install to work? I've gone through all the same steps and I can only reach the install screen via safe mode. The install always fails with the "The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." error.

The other boot modes besides safe result in a blank screen with the spinning wheel which never actually reaches the install screen.

Make sure you install the 10.6.8 Supplement update and change System Preferences -> Security & Privacy to allow MAS and identified or anywhere.

this update did not add that feature under Security on my 10.6.8 system I ultimately want to run UniBeast 1.7 but it is not working at all

SOLVED! Updating the Apple Software Installer to version 1.0 definitely fixes the issue! Nice work!

I had the this same issue with Unibeast being untrusted. Updating the "Apple Software Installer Update 1.0" solved the issue. Thank you very much
