I'm getting
2012-03-03 8:56:37.816 PM com.apple.kextd: Error: Kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAHALPlugIn.bundle - not found/unable to create.
I have the appropriate permisions, and the file is there

I have the same error but the audio works fine! (no internal mic :-/ and no switch)

I think I should edit the layout888.xml in order to operate the microphone. Can pyou help?

I can't use the App because I don't have the Internal Mic shown in Audio Settings.

I have opened a topic http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=53096 for my specific ALC888. I want to create a Platform.xml and layout.xml specifically for my soundcard.

I followed "Read me first" but I have no sound.
I've attached dsdt, ioreg and verbs.

According to IOReg, you audio is working. The problem may be related to the pin configurations. See this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=137188.

I have Speaker/Headphone (with switch) working, Line In working but no External Mic and Internal Mic. How can I fix this?

Try this experiment:Separate Internal Mic from External Mic.

Open Platforms.xml, Find PathMap 888.
Open Item 0, open next level and there are Item 0 and Item 1; delete Item 1 (front mic). In Item 1, open next level, repeat until all three NodeIDs show.
Edit as follows:

Current:
Item 0/NodeID/8
Item 1/NodeID/35
Item 2/NodeID/26

New
Item 0/NodeID/8
Item 1/NodeID/35
Item 2/NodeID/25

For the experiment, Line In is removed and Front Mic (labeled as Line In) appears.

Save, install and reboot.

Verify Internal Speakers and Line In (External Mic port). If this does not work, there is likely a problem with the pinconfigs.

Internal Speaker & Headphone still working but in Input I have this:

My Italian is not so good; it looks like you have Internal Microphone, yes. Does it work? You can try editing the pin configs for External Mic (Line In).
