I updated. Extracted BIOS using RW-Everything in Windows, then ran it through auto patcher using my github patches. No problems...

Does this BIOS update require DSDT patching? Or that DSDT which comes with latest Probook Installer is OK?

can i update it just and than repatch it?
    so:
    1.Update Bios to F29
    2.Extract DSDT with LiveLinux
3.RePatch it with Rehabmans Patches from github
4.Change it with the old ones
    5.restart

    right?

Repatching your extracted DSDT after updating is optional...especially if you don't get any boot delays. I do it as a matter of course.

updated the bios to f29 using the alternative method, which creates a 2gb partition on your hd.

    update went smooth.

warning to those not planning to do a clean install.

while in windows and doing the update via windows, do not choose the backup/failsafe option, it will repartition your disk space, and maybe mess things up.

the other update option is create a usb stick to update, which i didnt try.

I just updated too. I recommend to repatch DSDT again, because boot was really slow with the old one...

I updated mine today (and patched the new DSDT as well) but now About This Mac reports 800 Mhz i7 CPU (and it's not at 800 MHz, but at 2.3 GHz and I still got around 98xx points at GeekBench). Can someone tell me how can this be fixed?
