Tried both files. Neither of them worked for me. .2 gives me the "Your Apple ID "XXX" can't be used to set up iMessage at this time. .3 gave me an error.

I did check my SMBIOS. It looked like it was missing data but I fixed that with ChameleonWizard.

Using FileNVRAM....3 I am getting a different error. http://cl.ly/image/0i2F473o423g

I have seen my account get populated then an error appears.

Still not working though.

I did this and it worked for iCloud and the App Store but not iMessage.

Any ideas on why iMessage isn't working?

Thanks guys!

I skipped the new S/N generation since the Mavericks MultiBeast works for that. Also, I am using NVRAM Version 1.1.2.

BTW- You should mention that the NVRam zip file contains other items besides the FileNVRAM.dylib and that the other items can be ignored.

It worked to solve the iMessage problem for me!

Had the same problem. Because I had tried so many things I decided to start fresh. This is what got it working.

1)reinstalled mavericks
2)removed all networks from the networks preferences menu
3)removed networkinterfaces.plist
4)rebooted
5)added my primary network adapter as 'en0' in the networks preferences menu
6)put the nvwhatever.dylib 1.1.2 (don't know the name off the top of my head right now :) ) in extras>modules
7)repaired disk permissions from disk utility
8)rebooted
9)voila!

Just got iMessage working. Thanks. Worked like a charm.
