HD 2500 is not supported by OS X. You will need a discrete graphics Card.

Hi Giacomo,

Currently i'm using Chimera bootloader (using your build for DB as a guide) but i want to jump to Clover.

Can i follow this guide for a GB z77n-wifi + I5-3570k + HD4000? My greatest concern is if configs.plist and clover installation are compatible with my rig.

Thanks in advance.

I spent a few days to fix the graphic problem, I was unable to boot up without using safe boot. Now, I can boot up without safe mode in HD 2500. It detect my integrated GPU and everything work almost fine.

I have two issue here:
1. white lines flashing when login
2. white lines flashing on the top half of the google chrome browser, safari is fine.

If you have any idea how to fix it, please share with me.

This guide could be useful for your mobo, with some exceptions:
- BIOS settings
- DSDT patches (choose the right one for your motherboard)
- configUSB.plist and config.plist (use the attachment to this post)

Also you need to check the right mappature for your video connector in order to have HDMI audio. Here there is a piece of info you can find useful to understand the meaning and the process. For your hardware don't look for ig-platform id (or AAPL,ig-platform-id) = 0300220D, you need to refer to ig-platform id (or AAPL,ig-platform-id) = 0A006601, cause you have HD4000 not HD4600, and also consider AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext rather than AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext (same reason).

That's good to hear! But I've never used an hd2500 CPU so I'm afraid I can't really be helpful here.

I get the following when I try to select uEFI in Boot uEFI OS Selection. " Video is in Legacy mode. Select video policy uEFI first, reboot and try again.

Where do I make that change, I can't seem to find it anywhere in the BIOS.

Thanks

No clue. Double check on bios setting, I'd say (step 2 of the guide).
Screenshots? Bios version?Hardware setup?

I left it without making the change and it's still working fine. I guess I won't worry about that video policy.

Edit: Can't get the audio to work. Everything runs what seems to be successfully, but I get no devices recognized.
I see the kext inside the 10.10 folder, and hex codes in the config.plist, but no luck. I've repaired permissions a few times. It hasn't made a difference.

I see this in System Information
vb4OUuy.png

but when I go to System Preferences I see
uFUrjB9.png

Any suggestions?

Thanks

JimmyCypherz, you're not providing enough infos about your system! Your signature report a mobile setup, which is not proper, here. I assume you have Zotac board, but nobody here has any clue about your cpu, ram, monitor, clover, config.plist, ioreg, DSDT, SSDT, bios setup etc... Without all of this stuff it's impossible to help you. So PLEASE, be clear and complete in your posting, otherwise it would be a waste of time. That said, try this steps to reach proper audio (DSDT edits required, though)
  • Download from toleda's git hub audio_CloverALC-master zip file
  • Unzip the folder and leave it in /Users/username/Downloads folder
  • open it and unzip audio_cloverALC-100.command.zip
  • double click on audio_cloverALC-100_v1.0.4.command
  • type password
  • type y when the script asks for confirmations
  • reboot and check audio

I just got this setup, hence why I still haven't listed it on my profile.

I have an H77ITX-B-E
Intel i5 3470S
16GB RAM
HD 4000
Intel 240GB SSD

Attached you can find my patched DSDT, and config.plist

Here's what my terminal showed me when running the HDA patch.

Let me know if I missed anything.

Thanks
