Also, just to explain the changes... I think getting the on board graphics working is a lost cause so I installed an Asus Radeon 8400GS PCI x16 card I found in a spare machine at work. Now graphics work out of box except I can't get dual display working which is what I was hoping to get the most. Thanks if you can help on the new thread.
