For Keyboard and trackpad, you might want to try my kexts:

try boot -f if still not working...

pxhcd.kext is for usb3.0, still buggy but it works. try to clear all usb port when booting.

You can boot in with GraphicsEnabler=No without any changes to any device-id, only remove GeForce.kext?
No black screen and intel has default 64MB vram.
You should able to do that first, before trying to activate qe/ci on Intel HD

OK that worked! Got sound and intel 4000 working too but WiFi wont work. I have the AR5B225 (atheros) and the BCM94312HMG (broadcom dell 1397). The broadcom card shows up in devices but wont turn on. The enabler wont work either. The cards can be swapped if necessary.

EDIT: Got WiFi working with the broadcom card :D! Only thing that doesn't work now is nvidia card and trackpad gestures!

Anybody don't want to create DSDT for N56VZ or similar?

Is it possible to disable the Intel HD 4000 through DSDT so I can use the dedicated NVIDIA 630m instead? Last thing to go other than some minor issues!

Oh and if you can't at least get the HD 4000 working add this to the org.chameleon.Boot.plist to get perfect functionality of it :D!
Code:
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string>
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>5e0000000100000001000000520000000100000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000004006601</string>

EDIT: Forgot to add Graphics Mode key !

See this thread: http://www.tonymacx86.com/laptop-compatibility/72303-nvidia-optimus-support.html#post450644

Everyone said Optimus are not supported, but also has heard some people managed to succeed.

I am no expert myself but my opinion:
People got their nVidia Optimus card worked are with mux laptops (older laptops)
The ones impossible are mux-less laptops, display hooked to IGP only.
The new MBP with nVidia GT 650m use some kind of mux also for graphics switching.

For our these ASUS N series, I don't know if there muxes or not, we don't have option for graphics switching in BIOS, some other laptops has. So I don't know. Hope somebody can find way to find out...

Happy hack!!!:banghead: :banghead:

@ Jonathanmlang
Just replaced your efi string with mine and I now have the screen splitted in four with the image duplicated in four mini screens, is cool but unusable.

Does someone has dual display working on this laptop ?

Thanks

It did that to me too just add this before the efi string. (of course changing the resolution to that of your screen) Forgot to mention it before !

Thank you for your reply.
I will try it when i will be home.
Do you have external monitor working ? vga or hdmi ?
Thank you

I am getting answers from almost everybody say that we can not disable Intel HD and use Nvidia only as primary graphics,

even in this forum laptop read first:
If your laptop is using NVIDIA Optimus graphics switching technology, you can stop reading as it's not supported and most likely will never be.

But strangely some other guys confirmed that they have graphics switch options in BIOS that allowed them to do so:

We don't have that options in BIOS!!!, why?
Are there anyone of you can contact ASUS support for this? I am in Indonesia, I don't think the support here can help me, they even wouldn't know what I am talking about....

I hope I don't have to sell my ASUS laptop just for get this options

So I take it no one has created a proper DSDT for this unit yet?
