ASUS N56VM Ivy Bridge Install ML 10.8.X Q/A (help needed/appreciated)

Heyy

So I have a ASUS N56VM and I am trying to install
Mountain Lion 10.8 Retail using the Unibeast meathod..

Laptop Specs:

ASUS N56VM
Intel® Core™ i7 3610QM Ivy Bridge
Intel® HM76 Chipset
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 630M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
15.6" HD (1920x1080)/Wide View Angle LED Backlight
SeaGate 750GB 7200rpm Hybrid HDD
Integrated 802.11 b/g/n (I believe its an Intel Celeron)
Built-in Bluetooth™ V4.0
4 x USB 3.0 ports
Built-in Azalia compliant audio chip

Installer Specs:

Patriot Xpress 16GB USB 3.0 Thumb Drive
UniBeast 1.5.2 - Mountain Lion
Mountain Lion 10.8 Retail from App Store

I used the Unibeast meathod of installing ML to my system,
booting from the USB worked fine.. no flags needed
(used a USB 3.0 thumb drive as installer drive)
but on the restart it got hungup on Bluetooth Kexts
so i uninstalled them from the installer and reinstalled ML
to my ASUS.. after another restart i booted from USB Installer
into main HDD and theres no bootloaded installed at this time
and got hungup on waiting for DMOS.. so powered off and booted
using the flags -x -v and I got into the setup of ML :)
thinking all was good to install Multibeast but it failed so..
now i donno what i can do.
The screen res is stuck at 1024x786 and im not to sure why,
because both of my graphics cards are "supported" by ML

I tried to install Chimera from ML desktop and it said it installed
but on reboot it said no OS installed, so i have to use the USB installer
to boot until i can figure out how to boot without -x because I assume
Safe Boot doesnt allow you to install any outside PKG's (ie Multibeast)

So if there is anyone out there with any help or questions about my
build the floor is open ..

thanks for the help!!

Here is a picture of where it gets hungup on first boot without using flags:

disable nvidia optimus and boot with -v -x PCIRootUID=0 and reinstall multibeast. And safeboot allows the installation of pkg files.

how do i disable nvidia optimus? and everytime in safe boot multibeast fails to install.. i donno

is FakeSMC.kext compaitable with 10.8? i've installed it but keep getting ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin errors

disable it from bios and yes fakesmc is compatible

my bios doesnt have that option, its just a plain bios.. very little options.
all i could really change for this was the achi whatever it is option for the sata

You are lucky you got that far. I have the N76VZ which should be very similar and I don't even get to the installation screen.

Hi
I Managed to start the N56VM with 10.8 in normal mode deleting (or renaming) the four nvidia kexts. Hd 4000 ok still no QE/CI but full resolution, trackpad and keyboard ok, camera sometimes works but i don't care for now, USB ok. Atheros Bluetooth (i would like to swap it with wifi ) working .
Still no turbo, Ethernet Network Atheros AR8161/8165 and wifi Atheros AR9485WB EB Not working. No sleep for now.
Very strange though, sometimes if the boot freezes without panic, unplugging the power supply reboots ok.

i got it installed with no flags needed and full res but when i reboot the system bios doesnt detect the partition and asks me to insert a boot disk or drive.
did u partition your drive GUID or MBR?
and my bluetooth work but wifi doesnt. wifi is intel centreno :(

GUID partition is required. Install the standalone Chimera bootloader and then it might boot up. And about intel HD4000 you can take a look at this http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/61216-10-8-how-enable-hd4000.html. Cheers
