Hello everybody.

I've problems overclocking my Asus P8z77 with an Intel i7 4770k. I think I've been doing all the settings correctly in bios (after these instructionshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnH0luwrcfE
) to 4.5 GHz but inside osx it's only showing the default speed setting (3.5 GHz).

I've also been trying to put on heavy load on the cpu but it's still the same. Any ideas why it isn't overclocked?

Hi, first how did you manage to fit a 1150 CPU on a 1155 Board? I guess its a i7-3XXX CPU?

Anyway, with my MSI Z68 board I need to disable "Allow multiplier change in the os"
in the BIOS for OSX to use my OC settings.

Also and specially for speedstep, have a look at Your Multibeast configuration:
1. AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement patched?
2. Customaztion - SSDT Options - Sandybridge i5 / i7 Overclocked
3. Customaztion - Boot Options - Generate CPU States

sorry still on ML...

You can always use a Linux Live USB to check your OC

PS: never start overclocking at 4,5 Ghz! Start at 4 Ghz and work your way up from there.
How much Voltage is on the CPU (V-core)?
