Turned UEFI on, have bios at latest version (version 7).

  • Intel® Core™ i5 Processor 3317U (1.70 GHz, 3 MB L3 Cache)
  • Intel® HD Graphics 4000
  • 4 GB DDR3 System Memory at 1600 MHz (4 GB x 1, DDP Type)

I have changed every setting possible in bios around, keep getting EXACT same message.

I tried CPUS=1, GraphicsEnabler=No

Same thing every time

What is your end-goal as far as Snow Leopard on this laptop?

Snow Leopard has no support for Ivy Bridge CPUs and HD4000 graphics.

I would recommend you install Mavericks instead.

I do not own a Mac, but I purchased a Snow Leopard disk from Apple to make my hack a little bit legit. I was then going to upgrade to Mavericks.

My next step is to make a mavericks USB from my other hack and attempt to install that instead of snow leopard on the samsung. I was under the idea that Mavericks had to be upgraded from a previous version.

You can install Mavericks fresh.

If you have a way to download Mavericks from the Mac App Store (eg. via your 'other hack'), then there is no reason to bother with SL.

After much trial and error I got Mavericks installed. I can ONLY boot into the os using safemode (-x).

I had to partition hard drive with the "MBR Fix" on my Mavericks UNIBEAST install.

Now that I have Mavericks installed, it will not read a USB stick in the OS which made getting multibeast on the laptop a struggle. I managed to copy multibeast to my desktop by booting into the Mavericks Installer, and then using terminal to copy (my USB drives are recognized when I am in the installer but not when I am in the actual OS.)

Anyways, now that I got Multibeast on the computer, I am unable to install anything besides the ODD driver. Nearly every option in multibeast gives me a "Failed setting the front application to Multibeast, psn 0x0-0x1a01a, securitySessionID=0x186a3, err=-13066

Additionally, my touchpad and keyboard do not respond at all in the OS or installer. I have to use an external USB mouse and keyboard to use the thing!

Any ideas?

Hello, fevish,

Were you able to resolve the "Failed setting the front application to MultiBeast" error?
