I have original factory SL disc, I can get the disc to boot up to the apple logo and the timer, then that goes away and the disc spins like 3 more times and then nothing. Ive tried the pci 1 and 1 -x code and nothing, tried the ge=no -v and it ran a bunch of code and then did nothing, -x did not work either. i am using iboot and a copy of 10.6.6 about to try with a copy of lion and iboot and see if that works. i have 4gigs of ram in, its an i5-2450m 2.5ghz cpu. kind of lost here.

PHP:
I did get snow leopard installed last night, only way it would boot up after combo update and multibeast though was with the iboot in. This morning it wont turn on with the iboot disc and is still hanging at white apple screen if i try to not use the disc. Any help would help.

You will also need to install the TonyMac application update helper. - we assume you have a dsdt file for this: as you don't you will need to use the easybeast method of multibeast - notice when in jesters procedure that we use update helper program.
also you will need to use specific startup switch options due to the cpu -

-x -v -f acpi=off PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No

How to due a sandybridge cpu w compatable hardware OSX hack 10.6.8 build. jester969

Typical installation steps are:
1) iBoot + Disk Utility + install Snow Leopard DVD (perform install via DVD) reboot
2) iBoot + Installed OSX HDD (boot with iBoot and loading OS via newly installed HDD) - get welcome screen
3) Run Update Helper and Reboot?
4) iBoot + Installed OSX HDD, run combo update 10.6.8 , DO NOT reboot
5) Run Multibeast and select option which are required to your board.
6) Reboot w/out iBoot

Audio/Ethernet/DSDT

DSDT and BIOS firmware must match to the corresponding number.

Suggest you look at this as well for information - If you are unfamiliar w the internal workings of the Mackintosh world, I found the following websites and videos very be helpful.

A good command line w startup switches.
-x -v -f acpi=off PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No
Use for all Intel sandy or ivy bridge motherboards as startup.
PCIRootUID=0
