Blank screen

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, but I'm hackintoshing for about 2 years now. In my G5 Casemod, I have a P55M-UD2, Core i3 530 @ 3.3 Ghz, Nvidia 9400 GT 512 MB and 4 Gigs of RAM. Everything installed fine with iBoot Supported + Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Retail DVD. The first time I tried to boot from the DVD, I got a blank screen, so I used -x -v and everything was working. When the installation is completed, and I want to boot my HDD from the iBoot Supported disc, I get a blank screen after the Apple logo, even with -x -v. The Computer just boots from the HDD, and when OS X is booted, I get the blank screen.

hello. i got the same problem which the black blank screen
but what do you mean by -x -v
can you explain a little further?

The Command line switchs that are used after you boot form iBoot may need some expansion.

Most likely if you didnt use the GraphicsEnabler=Yes option this is the problem.

As for install from iBoot to OSX Retail DVD - once you have made the swap - and you see the DVD on the screen - you should use a more detailed Command Line string
this is mine - -x -v -f acpi=off PCRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=yes ncpi=0x2000
I know this is overkill but its what I have used to first start w the install - after you have done the HFS disk prep and waited the 30 min for the Apple OSX to install - and you are to reboot w iBoot again - I use a shorter one

-x -v -f PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=1
