Everything goes fine until the installation screen appears. The mouse isn't working at all, and I can choose between languages with keyboard arrows, but as soon as I choose the language and hit enter, the keyboard stops responding on the next step (as the "continue" button appears). I also noticed as I press Num Lock the keyboard led doesn't turn on and off. So it's kinda "half-working", haha.

I have AHCI enabled as well as S3 for the power + legacy USB support is enabled too.

All seems to be loading well, except that I get a "bug" message for something (if that has anything to do with my issue):

Asus P5K Pro
Intel Core2Duo E4500
6GB DDR2 RAM
1TB WD (SATA)
USB Keyboard
PS2 Mouse (tried with usb mouse - but doesn't work either)

Using iBoot 3.3.0, and retail Snow Leopard DVD.

- Any ideas for a solution?

Anyone? I'm trying to find a solution all day / all night, but no success so far...

Forum search is your friend - key words: Success P5K Pro
See what you come up with. Ought to be at least 1 or 2 guides somewhere as this used to be a popular board back when it first came out.

Yeah, I've been searching with many keywords, but haven't found anything I can relate to.
Maybe if I would use the dsdt's for my mainboard, the keyboard and mouse would work, but since I don't have any friends with a Mac (nor anyone I know), I have to install Snow Leopard 10.6 first, but it doesn't let me (as I can't navigate without keyboard and mouse).
So I can't use dsdt's as I don't have anyone where I can mount my pen drive to copy it. Or is there another way?

I'm disappointed by the support. The guys who are making these tools aren't looking at such simple issues as mine? I believe it's a pretty simple thing to be dealed with, but the support is extremely weak (looking by the rest of the threads here).

Most people are supporting the latest versions of OS X and putting their time there rather than with an OS X version that apple has dropped support for.

One thing you can try. Connect a USB keyboard and USB mouse to the ports directly beside the PS/2 ports, connecting the mouse by the mouse PS/2 port and the keyboard by the KB PS/2 port. These are usually the same drive bus in BIOS and should work if none of the others do.

Hell yeah! It works :D
Thank you very much!!!
I'm going to install it in the near future though..because I'm upgrading my hardware and waiting for new components to arrive. An Intel Xeon X5460 will work, I guess?

Oh, and by the way...I don't want to start a new thread just for this question: For some reason, the built-in lan port doesn't work on my mobo, so I'm using a Tp-link TF-3200, but it has no drivers for mac. What cheap lan card should I buy, that works on OS X out of the box?

Why bother with a card? If you have USB3.0 port just use http://www.sonnettech.com/product/prestogigusb3.html
Available from Amazon.com for about USD$40

Nope.. My motherboard have only USB 2.0 (Asus P5K Pro)
