Hi,

Using iBoot Snow Leopard is working using iBoot - Currently downloading 10.6.8 to go over the top of 10.6.3

Also have Multibeast so will install this on the Mac

The Mac will recognize the USB stick which has Multibeast on but there is no internet connectivity yet and I may have disabled LAN in the the BIOS when attempting to get this far.

Questions I have are:

How do I get this to be bootable from the HDD?
How do I ensure that its possible to get back into the BIOS

Just a couple of concerns

OK I've read some of what I've asked above is included in Multi Beast - Now installing

Actually a problem with the computer wanting a restart - work arounds??? - A big square window appears "you need to restart your computer" - iBoot Haswell

If you are wanting to install OS X Snow Leopard on the system in your signature then you are out of luck, using iBoot on Haswell hardware is to temporarily install Snow Leopard using iBoot each time to boot the hard drive.

There is no native support for your hardware in Snow Leopard. Idea is to update to 10.6.8 giving access to the Mac App Store and download OS X Yosemite and create a UniBeast installer. Yosemite supports your hardware.

Thats what I am trying to do - Snow Leopard is the start point - I've got the 10.6.8 download

On 10.6.3 I tried to install Multi Beast until the computer forced a restart on me with no option not to

Don't worry about MultiBeast, its not needed. Install the 10.6.8 update reboot using iBoot Haswell to boot your hard drive.

OK - Sometimes iBoot won't let me back in [BIOS?] so I can install again

I've had to disable the Intel LAN control - onboard devices configuration - This allows the installation of OS X 10.6.3 - From here I can re-install OS X - then do 10.6.8 straight after - then what?

I don't need to re-install the boot loader worked - after that Intel LAN control disable:beachball:

10.6.8 is installing - A restart hasn't been forced on me but Just need to make the installation bootable then its a Mac

OK - its rebooting [OMG] iBoot Haswell - What next - NO a big square window has appeared on re-booting iBoot Haswell "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button until it turns off, then press the power button again"

You are going to need the ethernet controller enabled to access the MAS and get Yosemite.

iBoot > 10.6.3 install. Restart.
iBoot > Boot your HDD > Install 10.6.8. Restart.
iBoot > Boot your HDD > access the Mac App Store for Yosemite download > once complete create UniBeast.

Boot with -v with ethernet enabled and post a screen shot if it stops.

I've enabled the LAN controller but for some reason this prevents the DVD drive activating to boot iBoot Haswell

How are you booting the DVD drive? Pressing F12 whilst starting the system?
