Ok, I've give up. This is my first hackintosh attempt. I have looked around the forum, tried to looked up my video card in hopes someone else has the same build as me but of course there are so many different variables. at the risk of getting flamed for posting in the wrong section or not doing enough on my own, I need help with at the very least starting this process over. If possible I'd like to salvage this attempt, but if it is easier for the community, I'm willing to start fresh.

PC specs in signature:

What I've done:

-I installed OS X 10.6.3 on my desktop using a purchased retail copy of snow leopard
-Used iBoot 2.7.2
-Downloaded the combo update from apple.com
-Installed multibeast 3.10.1
-restarted computer

Post-install:

-boot verbose gave me screen in unnamed.jpg
-boot ignore caches gave me grey apple logo screen
-boot single user gave me the screen in unnamed2.jpg

Are you able to boot to desktop if you boot with iBoot and select the OS X icon at the Chimera screen?

Boot-args to try since it is hanging at PCI Configuration Begin

-v PCIRootUID=1
-v PCIRootUID=0

might also try adding -x or -x -f to one of the above

I am not able to boot to desktop.

i have tried:

-v PCIRootUID=1
-v PCIRootUID=0

-x -v PCIRootUID=1
-x -f -v PCIRootUID=1

-x -v PCIRootUID=0
-x -f -v PCIRootUID=0

I have also tried to boot using:

npci=x2000
ncpi=x3000

that brought me to the grey apple logo screen. Stuck at that screen

OK, I think the problem is probably the PCH on the G31 board. Instead of iBoot, burn and boot with iBoot Legacy CD and PCIRootUID=0 for the AMD GPU. Might also have to try GraphicsEnabler=Yes.

Thanks for the reply. 2.7.2 is boot legacy.

OK, do you have another GPU you can use until after you update? The HD5750 did not get supported in OS X until 10.6.8.

I do not. Is there a way to bypass 10.6.8 then?
