Hi,
First post and thread on the forum and looking for some help if possible.
Here are my specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97-D3H
CPU: Intel i7 4790k 3,6gHz haswell Bridge
GPU: Msi Radeon Twin Forze III (i think this is the issue)
Ram: 12GB 2X4GB 1xgb Corsair xms3 DDR3 1600 mHz
PowerSupply: Strike X Aero Cool 800w
HDD 1: WD Green 1tb (empty)
HDD 2: Seagate baracuda 1tb (empty)
SSD 1: Kingston SSD now300 120gb (MAC)
SSD 2: Kingston SSD now300 120gb (Windows)
Wi-fi: N/A (use onboard LAN)
BIOS:
- Load the default settings
- Disable VT-d
- Set xHCI Auto mode
- Disable Intel Processor Graphic ( if not : slow boot time )
- Activate xHCI Hand-Off
- Activate EHCI Hand-Off
- Set the config. SATA AHCI
So finally installed snow leopard after 5 hours of scratching my head (for all the people in the same boat CHECK YOUR CPU and the bridge (goto ebuyer and enter cpu and click specs and should say bridge if there is no brigde then just use iboot (i had the haswell))). After that i used the command:
-x GraphicsEnabler=No -no-zp
and voila it installed without a hitch use the snow leopard guide and everything was going well updated to the snow leopard 10.6.8? Did not let it reboot and opened multibeast clicked on ALL the items as it did not give specfics as i thought maybe its like windows click a box and will use the right driver right? Nope.
Almost finished with multibeast install i was advised with a YOU NEED TO RESTART YOUR COMPUTER HOLD DOWN THE POWER etc.
Used iboot to get back into mac and now just pops up with the same message and some bios code i have attached the image if ANYONE can help with my above specs in a slighty noobyish term i would be great full.
Side note: Tried to use same code via iboot came back with the kernel panic so the code didnt help but instead said cannot find code for platform "acpi" and when entering the code and hitting entr via snow leopard (on i boot) the apple sign pops up with a loading bar and back to iboot.
