Hello everybody ! First of all I would like to apologize in advance for my not so good English.

So let's start, since my last PC was based on AMD system (now my bedroom PC) I wanted a little more power to run games so I assembled Intel based one (unfortunately at that point, I never knew that I would ever stumble upon tonymacx86 website and get hooked on making my system run on OSX).

Since buying one more PC just to run OSX is not an option, I would like to make my current build doable (if that's even a word lol).

So, the specs are :

Case : NZXT H440
CPU Cooler : Corsair H100i
PSU : Corsair CX750m (I know... Entry level PSU for Mid to High-end system)
MOBO : ROG Maximus Hero VII
CPU : Intel i5 4690K
RAM : Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600MHz (Planning on adding another 8 GB sometime in the future)
SSD : 2x Samsung 840 Evo SSD Drives (One for Windows, another one for OSX)
Sound Card : Creative Sound Blaster Z
GPU : Currently running Onboard graphics using two monitors (DVI and HDMI outputs) waiting for my GTX 980 to arrive.

So I have bought OSX Snow leopard on Amazon and tried to install OSX using iBoot Haswell method (downloaded from tonymac's website) And I immediately faced a problem, whatever I try I have no success entering installation screen :( . I've tried numerous different boot flags, combinations of them, BIOS settings and yet nothing that I can think of works.

So, Dear tonymacx86 community please help me to make this project happen, If you won't, nobody will :) Sorry for the long post, first time poster here .

First off, only connect one monitor for installation. DVI or HDMI, doesn't matter.

Second, did you do a search for aximus VII Hero + i5 4690K in the forum to see if anyone else had done a similar build

Third - are you using iBoot Haswell to boot the build?

Thank's for the response! Yes, I already tried connecting one monitor on dvd or hdmi outputs, i even *borrowed GTX 760 from my other PC, tried using single SSD connected to no.1 sata port. Loading BIOS defaults, changed settings to other OS, disabled LAN and numerous other stuff and yet, no success....

As far as I can find, one other person did install on the same motherboard, but the difference is that he installed osx Maverics on his build not SL .

And yes, I am using Haswell iBoot DVD (tried both versions 1.0.1 and 1.0.0)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i'm starting to loose hope here :banghead:

OK, first off - BIOS settings for internal graphics enabled?
First init display = igfx
igfx memory = 64M

try boot -v npci=0x2000 or with -v npci=0x3000

Already did that yesterday, still no luck :( but a strange thing happened, tried booting using
-x PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No -v flag and I noticed that i went a bit further than before and got Still waiting for root device. So I though I needed to wait a little bit, so I went out for a smoke, tried google boot flags to overcome root device freeze, so next time I used the same boot flag as before, but this time I added USBBusFix=Yes, and guess what ? I didn't even got to this point again, tried using same boot flags again -x PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No -v that got me to root device freeze, but that didn't work anymore o_O tried loading bios default, putting the same settings as before but nothing, and no matter what I try I cannot reproduce the same results :banghead:

are you able to disable VT-d in UEFI? If not, try add dart=0 to your boot flags

VT-d is disabled by default on my motherboard.. Yet still no luck and the boot flag won't help either. Since I don't have access to a Mac and going to Apple store to make Unibeast drive would be insane I have no idea what to do, i'm trying to install SL on Oracle's VirtualBox but yet again, no luck. At this point i'm thinking to ditch this project and save some money on a real mac (which is no fun at all).

The methods on this site generally only work to install on hardware. Got no idea for installing in a VM. You are on your own there.
