Alright! So yesterday, I finished my first hackintosh build. I was able to install Snow Leopard (I had a DVD of it), but after restarting after going through MultiBeast, my computer keeps getting stuck at the white Apple screen. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My specs are:
Intel i3-4360 with 4600 Graphics
ASUS H97M-E
2x4gb Kingston Value Ram 1600
LG DVD drive
160gb HHD (Am planning on expanding later)

There is no support for your Haswell hardware in the SL kernel and never will be unless you hack the kernel and add it yourself. SL will not boot from the HDD/SSD and MultiBeast will not help.

Install SL
update to 10.6.8 so you can get the app store
download Mavericks.
create USB installer - either UniBeast or Clover
Install Mavericks.

Mavericks (and maybe 10.8.5) is only OS X that will run on 9 series boards.

Ok... Thanks! That was what I was originally planning on doing, but because of a busy schedule, I had to try it in 3 parts :banghead:... I plan on wiping the HHD and trying again, but do it all at once so I can go straight to mavericks

So I got SL to boot, but it wont let me access the internet to get mavericks... I am trying through ethernet.o_O

MCSquared...

As GB has pointed out these steps are followed... what may not be clear in your mind is that what we need to BOOT from as long as we are on Snow Leo is to use the CD Drive w a CD of iBOOT Haswell which you will need to make.

Haswell hardware is not natetifly supported for Snow Leo meaning no boot loader will work until you get to Mavericks or beyond .

SO as you have a 97 motherboard and a Haswell CPU you should read this post which is similar to what your trying to do w one exception that the hardware mentioned is GIGABYTE not ASUS the steps are similar and should work.

Well I got SL to work, but it's the Ethernet that's the problem... It wont connect or detect the Ethernet card... Should I get a WiFi or Ethernet card that works, so I can get SL? Or should I just try and go straight to Yosemite?

Install SL with iBoot Haswell. Use MultiBeast to install only the networking kext (drivers->networking->your network kext - select from the pick list). Reboot.

Download the 10.6.8 combo update and install. Download the software installer update and install - http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1512

Download Yosemite - create a USB installer, either UniBeast or Clover and install Yosemite.
