I'm going to make the leap to Mavericks, But I need to know, Is it okay to use mac store downloaded application to install Mavericks and Fix it up with Multi-Beast and the Kext Utility?

I mean that's what I did for the 10.6.8 update when it was simply 10.6.6.

Or should I follow the whole Unibeat guide, I don't intent to start from scratch after all.

Well, since we're not telepathic (you didn't list your system components -> see the Forum's Rules & Policies), it's just a guess...but...probably you should use the UniBeast Guide.

BTW, you can't install Mavericks w/o using UniBeast because only Macs can download Mavericks and install it directly, even if you have Snow Leopard installed. The good news is that you can install Mavericks (with UniBeast) over your Snow Leopard installation to keep your accounts and apps (which will probably need to be updated). I've done this procedure several times from Snow Leopard to Lion to Mountain Lion and finally to Mavericks as each new version of OS X has come out. So, you can install Mavericks over Snow Leopard unless you want a fresh install as in the Guide. Oh, to install over Snow Leopard using the Guide, just skip the part in the Guide that says to format the destination disk.

Good Luck! Oh, put your system components in your signature block and/or profile. By doing so, you help us help you better. You only need:
motherboard make/model # (like GA-Z68X-UD3H)
processor model (like i7-4770K)
graphics card or method (like GTX 760 or HD4600)

As Going Bald has stated you need to update your system specs for us to "see" what you have.

The big problem here is going to be GFX related.

Apple has support for some of the older video cards that they used in their Mac Pro line.

THis does not mean its supporting PC video cards.

All of the newer PC video cards out now have no support for Snow Leo.

And the inverse can be applied to older video cards. Which Apple has no support for in Mavericks.

One know exception is nVidia 8800 cards which Apple has support for in Mavericks.

Others PC video cards are supported but you should find your card and search to see if someone has made the jump using that video card.

As to keeping Snow Leo. I fell this is wise if you can solve the video issues. Also suggest using a 2nd Hdd for the install of OSX Mavericks.

If you can download Mavericks to your SL system and then make the unibeast installer on an 8 GB USB.

I would also suggest you install this update to Snow Leo before you make the UniBeast drive.
