Hey whats up folks?

It seems like I need to upgrade to Mavericks to get updated programs so I came back here for help.

Here is problem 1. When I try to install unibeast over to my USB, I get a failed installation.

Problem #2
When I try to download Mavericks from the app store, it says Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer.

Any ideas to get this ball rollin?

here's my plist

Problem 1 is caused by problem 2 as you have to have the downloaded Mavericks install app in the app folder before running UniBeast.
Since you don't list your hardware in your profile or in a sig that is all I can say about your problem. I had no problems updating the big brother of your board - the X58A-UD7.

OK, please put board/cpu/gfx card in your profile or create a sig.

Next questions:
What version board is it? (open case, look at bottom left corner)
What BIOS version?
Are you using a DSDT? Was it from the forum database or did you do the edits yourself?

I have revision 2.

My bios version is FE and I am running a DSDT on the desktop downloaded from the forum. I did no edits to it.

OK, first thing is to get the app store to allow the download. Have you updated to 10.6.8?
Check your networking and make sure your wired connection is EN0.

Are you able to download anything at all from the app store? Try downloading some free app to check.

Yes the BSD type is en0

I am running 10.6.8

When I attempt to download Mavericks from the app store, it says "OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer."

Pharrari

As you mentioned your hardware is on 10.6.8.

Have you applied the Java and Safari updates to this version of OSX ... from the Apple Software Updater.

DO NOT UPDATE ANYTHING ELSE other that the above applications.

Also have you applied this Apple update - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1512

It seems to help some users that have had similar problems.

I have just downloaded, installed, rebooted and still that didn't help download Mavericks.

All of my software updates are taken care of.

After you installed did you repair permissions and rebuild the boot cache? Just rebooting is often not enough by itself. Suggest you open disk utility, select your install partition and repair permissions.
Then reboot and use flags -v -f and post results.
