Medion Akoya P4385 D (MD 8890)

Guide for (almost) fully working Mac OS X 10.6.8 on Medion Akoya P (MD8890)

Working:
Graphics, Sound, Network, Wifi, USB 3.0 Ports, SATA 6GB/s Ports
Not working (properly):
Sleep (No Ethernet after sleep), PS2-Keyboard in 64-bit mode (USB works fine)

NOTE: This Guide is based on the following hardware:
Motherboard: MSI-Ms 7707
CPU: Intel Core i5-2300
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTS 450
Ethernet: Intel 82590V
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 5900rpm
Wifi: Realtek RTL8192SU

0.What you will need
BIOS-Update 1.0GR
iBoot
Multibeast - Snow Leopard Edition
UpdateHelper
Official Nvidia Drivers
Cuda Drivers (optional)
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Combo Update
Official Realtek Drivers for RTL8192SU
Latest Chimera Bootloader (optional)

1.Preparing your installation
-Run the BIOS-Update in Windows 7 (64bit!) - NOTE: THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS STEP, YOU DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, I WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU BREAK YOUR BIOS. (Maybe this step is not necessary, but highly recommended)
-Burn iBoot on blank CD
-Shutdown your Computer, enter your BIOS, load optimized defaults
-Put your harddisk priority in the following order:
1.CD/DVD, 2.Harddisk

2.Install Mac OS X Snowleopard
-Put the previously burned iBoot CD in your DVD-Tray, then let it boot from it
-When you´re at the iBoot screen, take out iBoot and put in the Snowleopard Retail DVD
-Wait about 10 seconds, then press F5
-Highlight "Mac OS X Install DVD" and type "PCIRootUID=1 -x", press enter
-Wait until you get to the "Choose-Your-Language-Screen", be patient, this may take some time.
-Select your language, then open Disk Utility (Utilities>Disk Utility)
-Select your Harddrive, select Partition>2 Partitions>GUID Partition Table>Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)
NOTE: You have to make 2 Partitions, because the harddrive is 2TB.
-Close Disk Utility and install to one of the 2 Partitions

3.Upgrade to 10.6.8
-Put iBoot back in your DVD tray and boot with PCIRootUID=1
-Configure your account, look at the cool Mac OS X and the bad resolution ;)
-Run UpdateHelper and reboot again with iBoot (PCIRootUID=1)
-Now, install the 10.6.8 ComboUpdate, but DON´T REBOOT!
-Install the Nvidia Drivers, but DON´T REBOOT! (Optional: Install the CUDA-Drivers)
-Open Multibeast and configure like the Picture below:

NOTE: If you get the "Installation failed" error, reopen Multibeast and just check "EasyBeast Install", reboot and run multibeast again with these options.

4. Additional Work
-For 64bit, go and get a USB-Keyboard, then everything should work fine again
-For Sleep, just download the latest Sleepenabler.kext and install through kexthelper
NOTE: There are some issues; ethernet is not working and the mouse takes about one minute to response after wake up from sleep.
-Install the Official Realtek Driver for the Wifi-Card.
-Upgrade to the latest Chimera Bootloader

That´s it, enjoy your perfect working Hackintosh
My Cinebench score(s)
