Are there cheap compatible gfx-cards passive cooled from amd for rahter less than 150 Euros? This is a sound-workstation - and I don´t like cooler-fan-noise. Will the fan on "normal AMD cards" spin, when just used for 2d applications or are they silent?

OK - I need a passive cooled card - no cards of those in the buyers guide are passive cooled - all seem to be rather expensive. Where to go from here, when not wanting to spend much more than 150 Euros and getting a compatible passiv version? I bought the NVIDIA 1050Ti because it was passive...

I am stuck to Sierra 10.12.6 .... I have ignored several updates allready since a looong time, since NVIDIA does not support it´s GForce driver under current mac os anymore. Is there any chance to get the Gforce 1050ti running with a supported 3D-driver? Or do I really have to buy a current...

Hmmm... but would that be easier then? I would just like to go the upgrade path - because I have a fully installed workstation-system. It seems that really nobody in this thread had a seamless install/upgrade without issues - everybody had to updates certain kexts or broke their systems...

I´ve not recognized any NVIDIA-driver update for 10.12.6 so far. But I would hardly recommend to wait until NVIDIA provides a driver update, before installing Apples security update.

Same problem here. I try a clean install on ga-z270X-ultra-gaming with i7-7700k CPU and GForce 1050Ti with a Clover 4243 High Sierra install Stick - when booting the high-sierra-installation from clover, the Apple-Logo appears on a black background - then restart/reboot after a few seconds...

Thnx, but I can just kind-of-download the current High-Sierra-Version (not beta!) - As mentioned before, I´ve just the folder "Install macOS High Sierra" in /Applications - with a size of 19MB - I have to start the install-process, then the installer downloads "something" big, which takes 1-2...
