How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Ok then I also don't know :). I have that monitor for a gaming rig here and if I enable freesync it can't boot with CSM disabled and it automatically enables CSM. Kind weird, but I don't mind because it only runs windows.

With AptioMemoryFix.efi my hardware nvram works. So no emuvariable. Thanks for the find! For those with Vega did you try this? https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/inject-fb-name-for-amd-radeon-rx-vega-64.240252/ I have sleep/wake working but I have an Asrock.

    LG UltraFine 5K Build

Is it possible to connect a Ultrafine 4k + Ultrafine 5k with both brightness control under macOS? I love my ultra fine 5k and currently have a extra 27" 4k screen but I am spoiled by the ppi of the ultrafine 5k. The ultrafine 4k is usb-c so I could simply use a usb-c to displayport cable but...

Yeah I think that's the best method anyway, but opinions differ.

It's a sabre chip, pretty good actually. The audio jack worked for me. Ofcourse something could have changed in 10.13.2

It uses the same codec but a different dac chip I think. Anyway audio worked for me with the cavs rename patch and lilu plugin. That was 10.13.1 though. I have a different board now and use a USB external dac so no audio patches for me.

Modifying platformsupport gives me an error in recompiling caches. (sudo touch /system/library/extensions && sudo kextcache -u /). After that it won't successfully boot. Can somebody try this and reboot? Not sure if my 10.13.3 beta 2 installation is borked or that the actual platformsupport...

Same settings for me interferenc. I switched my motherboard to a Asrock X299 OC Formula though. This had more to do with my ram kit anyway. Whats the difference between OsxAptioFix2Drv and OsxAptioFixDrv anyway? Any reason to prefer the one over the other?

Currently the AQC107 chip is on the Rampage VI Extreme also. macOS 10.13.2 beta 2 does detect the AQC107 and the kext is loaded. No link is established when connecting a cable. No physical lights on the back also. It does not work in it's current state on the R6E. That's all I can say about it...

Running 10.13.2 Beta 1 No issues anymore with opengl / electron apps. So yes in december it will work I think. Like I said Vega drivers/kext got a version bump. (AMD10000Controller)

    LG UltraFine 5K Build

Yes that's the first thing I tried. Slack and some other electron apps. Even some OpenGL games that crashed. They don't crash anymore and utilization is 100% on my Liquid cooled frontier edition. So that's a good sign. This weekend I can do some more testing.

    LG UltraFine 5K Build

Most Vega chips are supported. It doesn't matter if it's Frontier or RX. Same PCB, same chip and all the ids are in the AMD10000 controller (not sure for the Pro WX 9100) . The new drivers in 10.13.2 beta 1 are much better. (Closer to point release iMac Pro)

I have to report, Vega divers are updated / working better in macOS 10.13.2 developer beta 1. Chrome crashes are gone (so far) and OpenGL seems to be working better. Also the 10G ethernet on the Asus Rampage VI Extreme is detected! The only thing is that it doesn't make an connection so far. I...

It seems that I can't send PMs..yet. Well this is kinda of offtopic for x299 but ok. Attached is an dsl file. You have to change the location to the corresponding pcie slot where the wx 7100 is located. If you have enabled the rename patches for audio, then you also need to mention the...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

You have to create an ssdt that fakes device id 67C0 (Some other WX 7100 device id) instead of 67C4 (Retail WX 7100 device id). I'll PM an example when I get home. After that it works fine with whatevergreen. It's also mentioned somewhere in the beginning of the whatevergreen support topic on...

It also affects the OpenGL score in Cinebench here. 1. Boot from startup and run Cinebench OpenGL (note FPS) 2. Sleep and then wake again and then run CineBench OpenGL (note FPS) Results from me with Radeon Pro WX 5100 & i9-7900x @ 4.2GHz 1. 95.53 fps 2. 126.29 fps
