    AR9285 802.11n problem

I just want to say that I fixed my AR2985 original problem of not being able to connect to N networks on 10.7.4 by downloading the kext from here: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1550-ar9285-ar5b195-ar9002wb-pcie-wireless-half-size/ Hope this link works for others.

    AR9285 802.11n problem

No I'm using a 10.7.0 kext with 10.7.4. I have been trying to upgrade to 10.7.5 but wasted lots of time attempting, and failed miserably. I've attached my IOReg and my patched DSDT. So this is on 10.7.4, DSDT with your code patch, with 10.7.0 vanilla IO80211Family.kext. Hope this will help.

    AR9285 802.11n problem

So I installed the vanilla kext that came with 10.7 and the patched DSDT with your new patch. But unfortunately it didn't work. I get no hardware installed. Any ideas?

    AR9285 802.11n problem

Is there anyway I can install the DSDT without MultiBeast? The instructions on MultiBeast look to scary: "EasyBeast is a DSDT-free solution for Core 2 or Core i systems. It installs Chimera v1.11.1 r1394 to allow your system to boot from the hard drive. Installs FakeSMC.kext...

    AR9285 802.11n problem

I have the both the original IO80211Family.kext that came with the the 10.7 distribution. The one which is on the usb i originally used to install osx 10.7, that I have. And I have the combo update (though I did not check if the update contains a IO80211Family.kext). In all cases I made a clone...

    AR9285 802.11n problem

I have the usb which I originally installed the system with. It has a IO80211Family.kext, though that is for 10.7 not 10.7.5. Do you think that should be sufficient without having to go though re-partitioning and performing a new install and update? I can use that, then attempt to update to...

    AR9285 802.11n problem

Thank you RehabMan, I will try this. Just a few quick questions, since my system is currently working fine (besides connecting to N mode networks), and I don't want to break anything: 1. I'm currently downloading the 10.7.5 combo update now. I think I can extract a IO80211Family.kext from the...

    AR9285 802.11n problem

Really nice of you, thank you. Just wondering if this applies to 10.7? I remember when i installed my hackintosh (years ago) I had to install a kext for my wireless card. I then remember reading that it was supported by default later on in 10.8, that's why I'm asking. I attached my dsdt and...

    AR9285 802.11n problem

I'm not sure of the firmware version on this: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/541-wifi-ar9285-ar9287/. Tried to download it once, failed, now I'm stuck with an osx86.net 24 hour download limit.

    AR9285 802.11n problem

2 quick questions: 1. Can someone send me a link for the most recent ar9285 kext with firmware version 4.x with Lion10.7 support. I can't seem to get hold of any of osx86.net links, they all seem to be broken. I'm running into the same problem as...

Bluetooth kIODeviceNotResponding error on Asus N53SV-DH72

I just want to report that I upgraded to 10.7.4 successfully. My geekbench marks are the same, so thankfully the N53SV-DH72 is not affected by the issue reported here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=170&t=59889. I upgraded from the normal software update. Upon booting I got a kernel...

Bluetooth kIODeviceNotResponding error on Asus N53SV-DH72

Tonkuz, the dsdt I used can be found attached to the following post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?p=320375#p320375. In the file "Arch.zip" i used the one called "DSDT_Variant2.aml" (of course don't forget to rename it to DSDT.aml and place it on your desktop before running multibeast).

Bluetooth kIODeviceNotResponding error on Asus N53SV-DH72

Ok the problem with my keyboard layout I think, is that the usb keyboard i used initially after the first boot was European layout, I think that mixed things up. I think if I had used a U.S. keyboard this wouldn't have been a problem. I also think I can still fix this by plugging in a u.s...
