[Solved] Full Progress Bar= No boot

Full Progress Bar= No boot Resolved!!! Stupid issue. My graphics setup didn't like that my monitor was HDMI. Once I plugged in my DVI setup, it worked just fine. I'm now running dual monitors with HDMI and DVI. On startup, it displays everything on the DVI unit even though I have set my HDMI...

    No Video after progress bar

Resolved!!! Stupid issue. My graphics setup didn't like that my monitor was HDMI. Once I plugged in my DVI setup, it worked just fine. I'm now running dual monitors with HDMI and DVI. On startup, it displays everything on the DVI unit even though I have set my HDMI unit to be my main monitor...

    No Video after progress bar

This issue is still not resolved, but it's likely due to other issues. I have updated my config.plist several times with different methods and no resolution. Currently I cannot get the unit to boot at all on my Hackintosh hardware. I did a fresh USB install, but did not wipe my boot drive. I...

[Solved] Full Progress Bar= No boot

I was having some trouble with El Capitan running properly with my graphics set up when switching to Clover and updating to 10.11 at the same time. I was on the verge of getting it running, but now I have nothing. I can get a full progress bar, but it won't boot. If I try safe boot -x, I get...

    No Video after progress bar

Thanks kduvernay, I'll try when I have a chance. New issues just popped up. I tried Multibeast again to make sure I had some other items installed. Not sure what I did, but now it won't boot at all. I get a slow, but complete progress bar, but no further. I've tried verbose and single user, but...

    No Video after progress bar

It's been a while, but it's still not working. I keep getting an error stating that the config file is on a drive that does not support permanent saving. I'm positive it's on the proper drive. It also won't save my system configuration as iMac and shows nothing after I changed it the first time...

    No Video after progress bar

I had my system up and running again last night, but when I started it today, it decides it doesn't like me again. When booting, I see the progress bar, and just when it would normally go to the desktop, the video signal is cut. The HDD light seems as if it is running normally, just no video. On...

    No boot

I have solved several issues. I was not noticing that the UEFI USB was a separate "drive" from the USB or other hard drives attached. Booting into that from Bios got to the Clover drive select screen and allowed me to install El Capitan. Post install with Multibeast does not allow me to install...

    No boot

Wow. Maybe I threw too much out in one post, but not one piece of advice or assistance? At this point, I'm considering doing a fresh install. I'd rather not, as I have lots of things on my boot drive that I'd like to hold onto. I'm going to have another round of problem solving this afternoon...

    No boot

I've been through several of the no boot threads, but all state that you should correct something in the kernel or other boot options. I can't even get that far. Here's the run down: Decided to update to El Capitan and downloaded as directed and created boot USB with Unibeast. The only files on...

    DVD not recognized

That was something I was thinking as well. Not sure why I haven't tried this yet. I'll test it tonight. Thanks.

    DVD not recognized

I guess I'll keep replying to my own post with updates. We have some outdated iMacs at school that are about to be replaced and I was going to burn a DVD today and realized that it also does not recognize the DVD drive. Perhaps this is a system version issue not recognizing older units. The iMac...

    DVD not recognized

No replies? Is this such a common issue that I'm being stupid and not seeing the answer? The solutions posted that I've tried have not worked. What am I missing?

    DVD not recognized

This has been covered before in older posts, but this is a new issue for me. I vividly recall seeing the "Eject" button in the upper menu before updating to 10.10.1. I just went to watch and rip a DVD and I get the dreaded "not recognized" error with DVD Player. My system seems to recognize the...

Video card for Adobe Premiere CC 2014

So my new GTX 760 is NOT supported in CC 2014? I don't want to go backward and use CC. I've tried numerous variations on the GPU Sniffer in Terminal without success. I will be very disappointed if this is the case. I purposely bought the GTX 760 with the intention of using the CUDA cores with...

    Yosemite totally freeze

I thought everything was good, as I got to use my computer for about 2 hours last night. And then it froze again. The only upside is that with the fixes I performed, my machine loads perfectly without the boot flags. Now I just need to figure out why it's freezing.

What is the "-f" boot flag?

Thank you. I did Google and use the search function here. Maybe I'm as bad as my students at some searches ;) I hadn't previously found the Chimera page. I did find another page that didn't list the -f boot flag. Thank you for correcting the -x and -s that I listed. I must have been tired, as I...

    Yosemite totally freeze

Loaded updated setting in MB and found that someone installed GenericUSBXHCI.kext, so I decided to do that too. I managed to get it to boot without any boot flags this time. I don't have much time to see if video playback will cause it to freeze tonight, but I'll see what I can get in the next...

    Yosemite totally freeze

Reducing system clock didn't work. Installing Alldar's fix right now. Looks like I may have been using some older Ethernet controllers. Also didn't have 3rd Party SATA turned on. Thought I used that before.

    Yosemite totally freeze

The system seemed to be functioning as normal, but I had to boot using flag -f to get going today. I've had to restart twice due to crashes after about 15 minutes, both times just watching YouTube. I just Repaired Disk Permissions, but I didn't see anything that might cause this. I have also...
