    Mavericks has become a nightmare

go slow, it's not a real mac so you need to not install any drivers you don't 100% need. 1 setting wrong in the BIOS can kill you.

From 2 hard disk to 1 with fusion

why, may I ask do you want fusion? It seems like taking a big chance on your data if something goes wrong with either drive and you don't really know where your data is stored so it is hard to do a manual backup. Are you using time machine?

IOGear Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter shows as on, can't see Apple Magic Trackpad or Wireless Keyboard (Maver

I have one, but haven't tried it on Mavericks. I will say that it never worked right on ML. The old IOGear dongle did work, but the newer 4.0 BT dongle did not work for me.

    [SOLVED] iMessage poll

I tried all the fixes everywhere and the only thing that ended up working was going DSDT free. After I went DSDT free iMessages worked fine. I have no idea why. Fortunately I was able to do a UEFI BIOS on this z68 board. None of the other solutions worked.

Not to hijack, but is there a place that we can look to see which smbios is the best for our particular rig? I've got a z68 board, i7 2600k, and a gtx 670 I never know which smbios to use and I always pick Mac Pro 3,1

    Monitor loses signal during boot.

Are you using HDMI? I was never able to get Displayport working correctly on boot up. After boot up display port would work, but never during BIOS/boot.

Network load seems to cause wide system freeze on some D3H/UD3H boards - (and probably others)

I have no problems at all with a z68 board. You may want to amend the title to say Z78. I do have a TP-Link Wireless adapter in that works oob and also another PCI gigabit ethernet card, maybe that is the solution to your problems? A $25 PCI upgrade?

    cannot shut down, plz help

Well, I think they are coming out with a DSDT to address the UEFI BIOS so I'll wait for that. I'm pretty sure it is something incorrect with my DSDT, but since I don't know how to repair the shutdown portion of the DSDT I'll wait for the official TMac DSDT for UEFI. thnx for replying though.

    Where's Apple Inc. going?

You just come off pretty condescending, like you have some knowledge others don't. You have some good points, but seem to fill in the space with some passive aggressiveness. I don't have any trouble understanding him or you, but I can see where he is coming from. You can make your points...

    DSDT's phasing out?

OK, this is great. I do have the DSDT set up with HDMI edits from Toleda and HDMI is working correctly, but as you stated I don't need the DSDT now that I am using the UEFI BIOS. And, having the DSDT allows HDMI, but it stops the computer from being able to shut down. I am using a stock...

    DSDT's phasing out?

then... how do people still do HDMI? My information from Toleda was that you need a DSDT if you are going to do HDMI, even if you are using a UEFI BIOS.

    Where's Apple Inc. going?

yeah, I guess dude. If you really want to get technical it was a late 2007 MBP and I also had an early 2007 MBP. No difference whatsoever to me. http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/faq/differences-between-macbook-pro-early-2008-penryn-and-macbook-pro-santa-rosa-core-2-duo.html...

    Where's Apple Inc. going?

    - I don't really need to go on, because it is obvious, so I won't. I think that if you had anything to say about Apple then I guess you would have done that, but thanks for letting us know that he's right. I agree with Tiuno, I thought his post aggressive, disrespectful maybe, but not really...

    Where's Apple Inc. going?

You really are an aggressive person. You aren't really saying anything except that, "if you don't agree with me than you are wrong."
